Mrs Tan

Q1: Rounding is often done to obtain a value that is easier to report and communicate than the original. Rounding can also be important to avoid misleading precise reporting of a computed number, measurement or estimate. For example,a quantity that was computed as 123456 but is known to be accurate only to within a few hundred units is better stated as '' 123,500 ''.

Q2: Estimating is an important part and a very handy tool for our everyday life. Get in the habit of estimating amount of money, length of time, distances and many other physical quantities.

Q3: Learn about some simple techniques that will give you a rough idea of the right answers.
