From retailers to private owners, the best and safest way to purchase a computer, would be the internet. This way you will save time and money. Now, if you want to physically try out the device before purchasing it, then the best way to do that is to go to retailers such as Best Buy, Fry's, Walmart and etc. These retailers not only have displays that can be tested, but they also provide specifications on the devices. Another great advantage to go to retailers, would be the fact that they have specialists who can answer all your questions about your chosen device and more. You may have to pay market price, unless you find coupons (by searching for them on the internet) or sign up for reward programs (retailers such as Best Buy have this option).

Purchasing a new computer is similar to purchasing a new car or new house, it takes time and patience. Once you have researched what you want in a computer and how much you are willing to pay, you then are ready to proceed with getting the computer of your choice.
