"In the spring of 2023, only 56 out of every 100 fourth-graders were doing math at the level they should be. In 2019, before the pandemic, it was 69 out of 100. That's just one example from the report."

Since kids math levels were dropping, they needed test scores to get back up. So, they needed more time for learning. in order to have more time for learning, they needed to take away recess time.

" Their report said that in 2023-24, the difference between test scores before and after Covid got bigger by 36 percent in reading 18 percent in math." This is our parents fault. Our parents should have helped and pushed us to our goal to make sure we are doing okay in school. They have been in school longer than us so they know more. It is their job to help us grow to our goal levels in school.

I think it is our parents fault on most of the part. Our parents should be making sure we are doing our work and checking up on us. They are in charge of us which means they tell us to do our school work. Although, our screen time is also the problem. Lots of us are using screens WAY to much and we aren't catching up on work due to us taking to much time on our phones.

This makes kids feel happy because they are safe. They also get along and work together during class time.

"Of course, there is always support for the other side, that the recess should not be structured. There’s evidence supporting this theory, suggesting that unstructured recess is good for children. According to KevinMD, “free play promotes intellectual and cognitive growth, emotional intelligence, and benefits social interactions.”

This says it helps with emotional intelligence. When we are playing, we learn to control ourselves and our bodies. For example, when we go outside and play sports activities, some people get mad when they make a mistake, or they get too competitive with others and play too roughly.

Without these rules, kids can get along. We can each play with each other and come up with something TOGETHER, so we can all play together.
