TWILIGHT ZONE 

I started to see the paintings without read about it, and I like the expression with the brush, the movement, the layers, the intensity of colors. 

I like how the artist choose to connect all the paintings, with a teme, and how it makes a story. 

the texture of the paintings calls for my attention. but not the image itself. 

I realized that light don’t need to be subtle, just need to be there. in these the light is almost a living piece. 

the disposition was a little to empty for me, but roger says that galleries are for buyers, so the disposition is to got attention individually, not for the composition.

- rejection of the idea of autonomous art as a practical for social purpose.

I was surprised about this way of thinking, because I did architecture before ebac and I have learning in there how important is the urbanism, how people react/interact with something you do, and what impact it does. and at the time I totally saw a purpose in it, so the constructivism is what I believe the society needs.

I have learnt how important is to do something with a impact for someone, for example that design of the Paralympics which had texture and vibration for blind people. I'd like to do something like that in the future. something meaningful for someone.

I'm impress with this men, who did pictograms as a communication solution, I like when something is really useful. It reminds me constructivism thinking.

I've learnt that something can impact people without be complex and that makes me think that I also can do something important even if  itis too simple in my opinion. people don't know my process, and something easy to me can be hard for others, I just need to believe in myself. 

I love screen print, but I'm not used to do popart style. 

I've notice his entrepreneurship and collective work, which is pretty nice.

I like the idea to work in collaboration.

I could try some popart style sometime. I like the simplicity and minimalism, I'm just not used to it.

I'm interesting how he chooses to mixes different typography in a same template, and it looks good, because is hard to mix different things and still combined. he also has some works writing in persons face which really got my attention, because it is unusual and original. 

I've learnt you can mix thing and still work, sometimes I choose some way to do something and keep it until the end of it, afraid to get out of the train of though, but maybe I can mix thing sometimes. I'm more comfortable with this idea of mixing. 

I loved this guy, he has an impressive hand movement notion, he can does any logo brand straight in one movement, but the most amazing to me is how the draw with the letters, always without equipment, because he does a perfect circle just with a pen, and I like mix draw with letters, I find interesting patterns and repetition. 

I want to try more calligraphy and mix it with drawings, maybe put in the middle of some bigger pattern. 

I think he has a bizarre way to express himself, he did a critique cutting his own body to visually convey the pain that accompanies most of the studio's design projects. he asked an intern to carve all the text onto his own torso with an X-Acto knife and photograph the result.  

but he also leads with interesting things, like his "the happy film" work, where he uses different ways to write the tittle of the film, as bananas with monkeys or watermelon.

I admire his surrender to what he is doing, he also said once with a beautiful typography using coins "obsession makes my life worse and my work better", and I can agree with him. 

that makes me feel a little bit concerned about how I want to deal with my art, because I'd like to be a good artist, not a average one.

I just need to keep doing and see how far I will go. 

his work inspired me to find a really different and unusual object to scalp my 3D letter in, and now I come across a carved tooth.

I've learnt you can do something funny and a little infantile and still be a reference, and also pic up something from your childhood to inspire you in a future outcome. 

I thought to do something like this in my 3D letter, but I realize a lot of people would do something with food, and I don't want to be cliche.

In his Marriage series, Stezaker focuses on the concept of portraiture, both as art historical genre and public identity. Using publicity shots of classic film stars, Stezaker splices and overlaps famous faces, creating hybrid ‘icons’ that dissociate the familiar to create sensations of the uncanny.

In using stylistic images from Hollywood’s golden era, Stezaker both temporally and conceptually engages with his interest in Surrealism. Placed in contemporary context, his portraits retain their aura of glamour, whilst simultaneously operating as exotic ‘artefacts’ of an obsolete culture. Similar to the photos of ‘primitivism’ published in George Bataille’s Documents, Stezaker’s portraits celebrate the grotesque, rendering the romance with modernism equally compelling and perverse.

I liked john because he uses this surrealism style for manual collages, and that's impressive, using famous faces and giving this uncanny style, that fascinated me. because I like things you have to pay more attention on to understand, it's not something obviously. 

I'll definably use this style in my collages and paintings, I always love surrealism art and now I have a college reference too, which is amazing.

I also find interesting how he uses old and/or famous images to a totally different context. changing the usual way to do something really holds my attention and I'll always try to do that. 

I like his influence in this hole style, he was a guy who study a lot about colors and how they worked together, he was really important for the begging of my favorite artistic movements, so I'm grateful for his work. 

I like a lot his studies, and certainly I'll do a lot of arts using it.

I appreciate his art too, but I think what came next is more interesting to me, because in spite of his color games his paintings are very blurred and with few definition, and it's something I prefere. 

Tansey’s paintings are monochromatic and possess a near-photographic precision, accomplished through a subtractive painting process: Tansey first primes his canvas with white gesso, then blocks out the general forms of the composition by covering sections with color, and finally carefully removes layers of paint to reveal varying degrees of the canvas beneath.

I saw a painting of him and I've been paralyzed about how amazing it is! The monochromatic details are just surreal. and when I found out how he does them, I just stayed in a state of mind that I can't explain here, it simply fascinated me. that's why I copy a description of how he does it in the begging. (I couldn't explain better). 

probably this is on my top 5 favorite artists and he's 70! (my favorite artists are almost all died) and he does surrealism as most of my favorites.

It's very hard to do texture and nuances of light, in a sutil way, especially with just one color, and he can do it, and it's amazing.

furthermore he mixes all that I've just sad with surrealism images, which is just perfect.

also his paintings are huge, like 20meters, he takes about  2 years to do each. I wish I can see it in person one day.

I'd like to do something huge and detailed as this one day, but nowadays I will use his knowledge of light and shadow in my future paintings, to improve.

I love her work and how she mixes medias and how perfect is the finishing of some handmade jobs. she also uses a surrealism style, and I like because of it. As I sad in John Stezaker's research this style pleases me a lot. and I'll definably use in my works, with some expressionism maybe.

she is a contemporary British photographer known for her experimental creation of photos without a traditional camera. Using the night landscape as her makeshift darkroom, Derges submerges large sheets of photographic paper in rivers, using a flashlight and the moon to create the exposure. The images created of plants, organisms, and flowing water are metaphorically rich, alluding to the connections between ourselves and the natural world. “I wanted to visualize the idea of a threshold where one would be on the edge of two interconnected worlds: one, an internal, imaginative or contemplative space and the other, an external, dynamic, magical world of nature,” the artist’s said.

I love the colors of her photos and how different is her process, and her concept, because it's unusual.

I've learnt how we can think out of the box in everything, I mean  I've never thought about change the way of reveling instead the way of taking pictures, would have a different result as well.

it's crazy how we are in a bubble of collective though.

I'll always try to get of this bubble.

I was impressive when I saw that 3D painting was a actual stairs and environment, it is magnificent the optical illusion, and how seams like a 2D painting.

it is good to start thinking more in the result before it is done, to calculate and to do something more planned, and maybe get a extraordinary result.

he also uses vibrante colors and that's involving.

the point of view is everything, so a picture can be more interesting then the real object. I think that's good to know where to position the camera and how to value your art.

he is famous by his sculptures, but I don't really understand his reasons and interpretations.

it's not something I'm used to.

his metal with magnet sculptures are nice, but I don't really enjoy his work, even I've knowing he was the first one in Inhotim, and his art is on the most expensive places.

I don't want to do something like him, but I want to be seem and recognized.

MAURO RESTIFFE - he is a photographer known by his black and white images. 

he has a interesting point of view, even when there are people on the picture, it seems frozen in time, all his images gives me the feeling of been still. 

and he also is always distant from the people, or seen a lot of things at the same time, I think this increase the idea of still, and far, and a part of everything in his front. 

I don't know if I like this kind of art, of course I think it's pretty, but maybe, as an artist, he should be more involved, and feel more, and show how each of us feel in a different way for the same problem, or feel the same in some aspect, I don't know. 

it's just my perception, I don't know his history and his "degree"of involvement.

it can be nice to a part of the world sometimes. maybe just watch is a option, but I don't really think is the best way.

he is a Brazilian painter represented by leme gallery.

what got my attention was his expression with the brush.

his paintings are very colorful and with a lot of information, so you have to pay attention to understand, or knowing you don't understand at all. but I like this.

he also uses layers of A LOT OF ink, it should takes years to dry for good. but the texture simply fascinating me.

he is very good in painting people without usual colors, which Im trying to learn how to do, and he'll be definitely a study. because it is the most pure way to see the light and the colors, and with that I think I can do everything better, because I'll know how to see a shadow or a surface.

ZILVINAS KEMPINAS 

he is a living artist, and I got really impressed with his art.

he does sculptures that moves, and always metallic, kind of futurist.

and remembered me something with physics. always very calculated and with lines and dots, some illusions. 

I am fascinated in how someone can control something moving, he has a sculpt with magnets and water, and it's always moving, and giving me the feeling of tension, a little bit of anxious, like something is about to happen.

ok, I don't think he can control everything, but he know every possibility of changing, and they are still in his intentions. this magnet one always seems like a circle, and I don't think it will change. 

I could try something with magnet or moving, which is out of my comfort zone, but I still like and want to try.

I know he is an important artist and his name was repeated several times through SP trip. 

but he doesn't really got my attention for his outcomes.

I think it's interesting to use geometric forms to do some pattern or something for a business invitation or for a poster, but I don't like very much in a canvas, because I prefer an expression painting art, and I think he is more like regular boring guy.

I know it's important to know him, but I don't want my art to be like this, without expression and feeling.

 

LEONILSON - he is a Brazilian painter.

he didn't got my attention at first, but I was getting his importance in a context of new artists in brasil and now I like him.

at first I didn't like his art because it was simple, and with fine lines, but when I started to pay attention I discovery his feelings and much more than fine lines, as his concepts and his few colors.

I founded interesting how he can express so much with so little. I like one specific character of him that I saw in a postcard somewhere and I kept until now. and just realize it was his in this SP trip we did.

I don't want to do something like his art, but I want informe something independent of the draw it self.

MAREP

CILDO MEIRELIES - he is a Brazilian conceptual artist, installation artist and sculptor. He is noted especially for his installations, many of which express resistance to political oppression in Brazil.

he is the one who said about the redshift and that was the principal explained of the expansion of the universe of Fabio Faisal (collector) studies, THAT calls my attention. this kind of physics explanation and art with a theory behind makes me excited to know more and search deeply about it. 

I want to do my art with a concept and an explanation, to stimulate people to understand increasingly. 

like my tooth work. I'll do more like this.

MATT ESQUEMA

LYGIA CLARK - Lygia Pimentel Lins, better known as Lygia Clark, was a Brazilian artist best known for her painting and installation work. She was often associated with the Brazilian Constructivist movements of the mid-20th century and the Tropicalia movement. 

her art didn't catch my eyes, I just payed attention when Fabio said, but I don't see nothing especial. 

I don't want to be like her, neutral, blasé.

I want to calls people attention just because of the art, because of the colors or its absent. I'd like people to want to see my art. because I don't feel this way of her art and, for me, this is a bad thing.

So I did something like this on my racket, when you see in a light pointing to it, looks better. but I really like my paint outcome. 

she is from Lima and I was interested in her because of one specific work: paintings of forests in a mirror, and then she writes shaving the ink, her work was a critique to our actions and our own, but the fact of painting on a mirror was amazing for me.

and as I was with some extra mirrors that lifted from another work, I decided to painted, because this way of choosing the negative space that the public can see themselves fascinated me. 
I chose an eye to draw on it, because it's meaningful enough. 

I kind used an inktober list to represent the profound, which was the world of the day.

the idea was to make something "see yourself with the other eyes", to mix a personal feeling with my painting. I think is the same intention of Sandra, but instead of carving the ink, I just left a "blank" space, which was the iris. It's actually wrong, because we see from the pupila, but I thought the iris would cause more impact, because it's bigger and it usually has a color, and as is your reflection, it;s your color, your way of seeing, but in a different eye, the one you can be your truly self, the one who don't judge you, the one which reflects you, as you are.

i didn't read them, but the ideia was amazing.

her interview about zines really inspired me to do my own for this project, the part of her advice of doing about something you are passionate about just talks to everything I believe, so I will do a zine to show one of my sides that the world doesn't know, to literally express myself, and present to the other through art.

its a collab of artists whose do zines, it's interesting to see the different shapes it can be. I had no idea how extensive were the zines world. now I'm having more ideas: I'd like to do one in just one page, folded up in a story sequence, or maybe a binding one, but in the shape of a square. I prefer to do something simple with a good content than do a big notebook with no meaning.

I love his style! 

there are a humor in simple drawings in cartoon style, most of them are about mans brain, which is not my kind of theme, but I liked.

it's an art collective in rio de janeiro which does urban actions in collective places and galleries, changing the normal way of occupation of an urban space though interactive actions.

one of them Roger showed us and I found very interesting, a lot of REDE stitched together and with bottle cap tided up above, so, when people rise in to it, it makes a noise of a rattle.

but I didn't want to do some pre existent instrument, so I didn't use this idea.

he is a writer who worked with LOTE42 and did an amazing original work, doing a book in the format of a INQUERITO POLICIAL which accuses the editor. insane and inspiring because you can always go further. 

that makes me think a lot of the rules and the way we follow them all the time, even if it's just a comum sense and how artists NEED to be original nowadays. I want to be one of the "upside-downs". because I know how much difference it makes. I don't want to be comum, to do the obvious.

I first saw "antes que acabe" of João Galera, he drew facades and I kept some styles doing sketches on my project book, I also look at internet as "cartoon doors" and documented too.

but the principal source of my final decision was Monsters, ink. that I decided to use one color and it darker or lighter to do the "shadow" because I realized how comfortable it is to my eyes in that way. the contour in black makes the idea of finalization of something, but in this case just brings me the idea of unfinished something more detailed,as if I was trying to do something more realistic of detailed and hard failed.

I went to his experience exhibition and I simply loved.

it wasn’t his work in there, because they are too fragile to travel through the planet and also it didn’t left much. this exhibition was made by craftsman from his notes. 

 he is a genius, he did important researches for a lot of areas, for example anatomy for medicine studies, he was the first one to understand the human body as a math study, with numbers and proportions. 

he fascinated me because he did a lot in different areas, I thought if you don’t focus, you couldn’t be able to real learn, but he showed how it is when you want to study something, this knowledge won’t be a waste. 

“learning never exhausts the mind” he said. 

the exhibition was different of everything that I saw because it had a different space, a entire room with a lot of screens showing details of his paintings and explaining everything in a resume way. and the screens were disposed not in a straight way, so it wasn’t obvious. and also was ver big, with totems on the way. 

I felt really inside his art. 

he is a cartoonist and a journalist. and I simply love him. I think he influences me since my childhood, I read all the "menino maluquinho" comic books until 2015.

I love how he can deal with serious issues in a funny and ludic way. and how colorful, but also simple, are his comics. 

I had meet him when I was 9 and I got an autographed "menino da Lua".

it opened me a perspective of universe that I didn't know exists, after that I wanted to be an astronaut, because I felt the necessity to meet the boy of the moon and his friends, but now I understand that I was fascinated about the book and how it was written and not because of the moon or planets, of course I still like the galaxy and the ideas of other planets and societies around us, but now I see what that books really mean to me, it is about involve kids, making them think it really exists, a book is to show a different universe that can be real in someones mind. and I think Ziraldo does that perfectly. 

I went to an exhibition of him this year, and there were a lot of sketches of the characters, especially from these solar system stories, and how he got to the final pieces that are been sell nowadays. 

another book that is a milestone in his career and my life is Flicts, which he said was the name of the color of the moon. and was his first international success. even Neil Armstrong said "the moon is flirts". butt for me this book makes me questioned how colors exists and how they were limited to primary and secondary colors, but there was so many more.

in conclusion, Ziraldo helped me to see a lot of things differently and be more curious about what is around me, especially science and how things works at the time, and now for colors and drawings that involve who's reading. 

he is cartoonist. I already knew his work, but I didn't know that was his, because he illustrates a lot of famous books, but he doesn't write them.

I knew ïsto ou aquilo" from Cecilia Meirieles, and it is amazing this connection the my mind just did. I always like her books and I'm sure the drawings of it makes difference when you are a kid.

I love his style and how he represents different books with the same style of drawing. even different draws. and I'd like to have that visual identification in my work. 

and I think his work is effective, because involve the kids.

I like this changing because it breaks the expectation and it makes people rethink about something constantly repeated.

I think more simple and directly is the text more effective it will be. and that's what I want for my protest.

I like how he mixes big issues with his wants and pass a good directly message, as in "Rage, Flower Thrower", by doing a man who appears to throw a grenade, but instead it's a flower bouquet.

I'll do something easy to understand and spread to be efficient like him.

I pic up some books on the library, as VISUAL IMPACT and STREET ART - TECNICAS E MATERIAIS PARA ARTE URBANA, to study more visually and see what impact me the most.

It was always simple and funny drawings/quotes. 

so that was essential to got attention on a silent protest.

he did a workshop for us and I love how he explain his reasons and motivations. he always make a visual language to be a combination of works and I think this is how it's supposed to be. so first I will choose a language for my protest about truth. 

we will use the feeling size, so the most striking places will be bigger. just to express our feeling about our journey instead the journey itself.

 POST-TRUTH AND BEAUTY
_{Post-Truth and Beauty aims to create a sensory experience analogous to the ungraspable nature of ‘truth’ by presenting partial glimpses into an abstract world of light and sound. Visitors are invited to interact with the work one at a time by entering into the speaker ring. Light and sound both change in response to where the viewer’s head is positioned. Different parts of this world are revealed as the viewer moves their head and changes their perspective.}

in this experience you CREATE the sound, and see the difference in the lights. I think it will be nice to do something related to the funcional of the brain, visually speaking. to people understand by seeing how this music is affecting their sinapses at the moment.

THIS FLOATING WORLD
_{This Floating World is a dance solo performed in an interactive environment of computer generated visuals and sound. The piece is inspired by vines whose form is cast by the buildings against which they grow, and riverbeds that both guide and are moulded by the water they carry.
 
 The dancer’s movement on stage is tracked using a 3D camera. Custom software analyses this movement. In combination with live input from a nearby laptop, this generates visuals for the onstage projection and modulates the musical score.}

This is intense and maybe easier to do it online, I just have to have one dancer and film how her interaction changes the intensity of the sound and how the movement of the color behaves, it's amazing, and maybe watching this piece is connecting to ourselves.

 IMPOSSIBLE ALONE
 _{IMPOSSIBLE ALONE is an interactive installation exploring the space between musical improvisation, creative movement and games. Using Kinects to track the pose and movement of two individuals, the installation hides a myriad of sonic interactions — invisible instruments that both provoke and demand creative movement. However, this interactive soundscape may only be explored by the participants whilst they mirror each other’s movements exactly. Responding to both each other and what is heard, they inevitably provoke each other to move in unfamiliar ways. How long can they persist in the uncharted journey of shared creation?}

this is also a dancing installation, but it is required to dance and move with someone else. this mix of sound and interaction is all I want for my exhibition.

_{We asked our team to tell us about all the places they’ve called home and the music that defined them there. We used the geographical and musical history data to design a “record” of our collective experience that can be played through Instagram’s Spark AR platform.}

this is just incredible, they did the exactly kind of experience that I want to do. it's something for millennials, using Instagram, it dependes where you are and the graphic score. it was a surprise finding this work. and now it's one of the most influentials for me.
how it looks like, minimalist and intriguing, it's beautiful and powerful.
it really gots my attention, and I want to make people surprised as well. I want then to experience something new.

WISHES
_{One hundred audio recordings reverberate viscous pigments suspended in water to create unique, organic artworks. Each “wish” poster is inscribed with its corresponding spoken word and individually packaged for its recipient.}

they recorded an audio of a wish and use the vibration of the voice as way to transform it on visual.
just with some ink on the water and the movement by the vibration of the sound, it makes a unique shape that is printed on a paper.
it's fascinating and it's another way to do a visual score.
I can do this blots moving to record a video.
this gave me a lot of new ideas.
it really opened my mind to another type of visual language and how things could be done.

NUMBERS
_{A physical / interactive sculpture is a translation of data into form, representing our work habits, project flow, productivity and other agency narratives.}

It is an informative sculpture, that transmit a sound and a light when someone rise your hand near by. it's amazing the inside technology, when I first saw it I imagined it was just a white sculpt, but this studio always surprises me.
that's the spirit I want to get.
there was studies and design thinking to do it and they got a 52 weeks interactive data!!

I found this piece very interesting, mostly because of the explanation "making sound visible", it makes me think in something like this to people watch while the music experience is happening. I don't know, everything now is to find a HOW.

it is really amazing how sound can make an entire environment different, it affect our way to behavior.
I will use this in my favor, to induce people to what I want them to feel.

based on these articles, and other ones less informative that I choose not to show here, I realized that music really affects our brain, it changes our brain waves activities, it changes our mood, BUT it isn't the genre that defines how we feel and how our brain respond, it is not a common sense that calm music makes you feel calm. this depends to how likely you are to listen this music, your music preferences, and your familiarity with it. 

SO, the music stimulus can affect each one differently. there are some facilities as the frequency of the sound, lower frequencies tend to produce alpha waves in your brain, reducing the brain activity and making a calm feeling. but it is the context that will make it happened.

I can make a music experience to make people feel calm using visual and other stimulus to make that happened, but the chosen sound can create an opposite wave activity in people's brain. so, I have to be careful and create an environment. 

maybe, knowing I will make this experience at home, I can study my parents preferences and normally brain waves activity in order to create a specific experience for them to feel these emotions that I choose.

but after that, explain on the documentary that this experience can work for everyone, but with specific stimulus.

I can make a model with 3/4 music genres, and the person could choose which is theirs mood to feel calm. and than in each environment will have a combination of sound, color, visual, etc etc, to focus on it.
