I want to Inderhavnsbroen. I walked there because I have not gotten a bike due to not needing it for my commute. The walk to the bridge was very nice and the view from the bridge was amazing. The bikers seem to have this unsaid language that they all trust that the other bikers around them know what there doing so there isn’t any hesitation as bikers move about the bridge. There were also huge lanes for the bikers and pedestrians and at some points they were physically separate. The biking side also had lanes which I though was interesting, but also necessary.

I went to Cirkelbroen! I had the best time biking around but definitely felt a little bit anxious simply because of the fact that I’m not familiar with the biking etiquette yet. I felt somewhat intimidated by the locals biking around, but I can tell that these feelings will fade as I get more comfortable on the bike and in the environment. I can’t wait to keep biking and exploring the city!

Today, I biked to Cirkelbroen! It was a very interesting architectural piece. I appreciated the effort from the city into making a bridge in this spot for bikers. Biking is a new activity for me, so getting here was a little bit difficult as I kept missing turns and not understanding how to cross over to a different turn, but I started to get the hang of it. I really enjoy the biking aspect of the city as well as the beautiful architecture on this bridge! - Nicole Wainland

I biked on Inderhavnsbroen on my way to the beach! I have been biking to DIS almost every day we have classes as well as to other places around the city, so I felt really comfortable riding. The bike bridges are very interesting and useful as they allow you to continue biking in a more safe (no cars) and more efficient way (no traffic signs or big intersections). This bridge in [articular was cool because it had a biking section and a pedestrian section.

I biked to Cirkelbroen. It was my first time riding a bike in Copenhagen! I thought the bridge was well designed because commuters could easily ride straight through while others could stop to view the river. I have to get used to using the turn signals, but no one yelled at me so I think I did ok for my first try (even though I got passed multiple times). It was a a beautiful day for a bike ride, and I will definitely be doing it more as a way to spend time outside.

Today I walked to Cirkelbroen with Mira. I rented a bike when I first arrived in Copenhagen and have been biking occasionally when I go to the gym or need a faster commute somewhere. I love biking around Copenhagen because it is clear that the city prioritizes bikers over drivers and walkers. The commute is significantly easier and encourages me to be more active. I've been on a cycle bridge before and it was a chaotic experience since it was very busy and I'm a new Copenhagen biker. However, Cirkelbroen was well-designed and more relaxed with fewer bikers around.

I went around 6:45 so that I could get coffee and do some work before my 8:30 class. I love biking around Copenhagen, but I especially love it in the early mornings when the streets are emptier. I'm a lot more comfortable on my bike than I was before I got here because my commute to class is around 4 miles!

Earlier in the day, I had done a canal tour, where I learned that this bridge is called the "kissing bridge" for its mechanical ability to bridge the gap in the middle and seperate again. I found the experience very fun, as I usually bike across Lille Langebro to get to the gym and sometimes class. It can be more nerve-racking to bike on the bridge because some people like to go fast up the steeper parts of the bridge and other take it slow, causing lots of passing to happen. With the skinny biking lanes, it can be tight!

It's interesting because at home I bike everywhere to get around, but here I haven't even though biking culture is so much bigger. Biking is probably one of my favorite activities and ways to exercise, but it just didn't make sense to have one here because of my location and accessibility. I loved the view of the library from this bridge and the way that modern buildings and the modern looking bridge contrasted some of the older buildings in the area. Hopefully I can try out biking in the city at some point this semester!

So this picture was taken before I actually biked across this bridge because it was very crowded and during rush hour. Im not exactly sure what the name of the bridge was but I was in kalvebod Brygge right near The Harbour. It was a really cool bridge because you go right across the harbor and it's a nice view. The bride runs both ways and had two lanes on the way I was going and one going the other way. People on this bridge tend to bike pretty fast even though it was not completely flat. I biked little slower to try to enjoy the view of the harbor front and all of the people swimming!

In another class we talked about the artist who made Cirkelbroen, Olafur Eliasson so I was very interested to see the bridge. We talked about how he specifically constructed it to be a bit uncomfortable, hence the circles. While being on the bridge, I noticed how the people walking had to be extra mindful of the numerous bikers going through due to the awkward shape. There were also many people just standing on the bridge and taking photos as well. It was nice to see how many people enjoy it.

The bridge provided a beautiful view of the water and I was lucky enough to be the only cycler on the path. It was a bit of a climb so I did break a sweat on my way up. Overall, it was a thrilling experience (as my facial expression discloses).

I am not good on a bike, so I walk almost everywhere (although I will give the traffic playground in Østerbro a try). On the way back Isa and I crossed Inderhavnsbroen. Cirkelbroen was very calm, and it wasn't intimidating as a pedestrian or as a biker (people were biking slow, and it was mostly empty.) Inderhavnsbroen was so nice to walk through, as there was no rush to cross because the pedestrians and bikers were divided. The views from the bridge into the river and beyond were so pretty!

This bridge is not on my way to class, so I had to leave slightly earlier in order to make it on time. I think it was worth the experience of biking past the canal and over the bridge. I was suprised by how busy the bridge was at such an early time. Everyone was very focused on getting to work and school, so I don't think they appreciated me stopping to take a picture. Narrowly avoided crashing once because we stopped promptly for a changing bike light. I'd give the views a 10/10, the experience a 5.5/10. Definitely glad I got the Copenhagen experience, but I think this would be super stressful alone lol.

Last night, on my way back from La Fontaine, a jazz bar on Kompagnistræde, I biked a couple minutes out of the way to see the circle bridge. It was about 11PM, so there was no one on the bridge other than me and a couple friends. Although there weren't a lot of people, it seemed like it would be much more useful as a walking bridge than a cycling bridge because there were no lane divisions and its shape was very organic. However, I appreciated the artistry of the bridge and after doing some research, I discovered the bridge doesn't raise, but it rotates on its middle point to let taller vessels pass through.

I am not confident enough to signal to bike by myself as I have not ridden a bike in a long time. Biking is still definitely a challenge, but it is fun nonetheless. Staying stable on cobblestones and going in a straight line was confusing initially, but it got better over time when biking to the bridge. The view from the bridge is very scenic compared to the bike routes in the United States. Having revisited it to take pictures, I appreciate the biking culture more. I have been practicing on my rented bike, so hopefully, in October, I can bike to classes someday.

I bike along the canal and across Cirkelbroen often on my way home from the gym. It is a beautiful view, although slightly bumpy on the way there. It doesn’t really feel like a biking bridge because there are no lanes or anything and the cobblestone beforehand is not biking conducive. I also bike over Lille Langebro right nearby, which honestly feels much more like a biking bridge, with clearly differentiated lanes and comfortable riding. It allows me to get to SATS much quicker and more comfortably than on the main road.
