I'm happy that it turned out the way it did. I was inspired by corals as well as the bright colors under the sea. I used slip for the dots popping out, used on the lid and outer parts. I mostly used under glazes all over the project and tried to make the color scheme match. One crystal glaze was used inside the project and for the purple dots around the middle sides of the project as well and i like how it turned out. Using coils to create this project was fairly easy to me. I did use 5 different coils and added some to represent my spirit animal which was a bear. I chose the bear for my spiritual animal because it said bears help things around them and i enjoy helping people with anything. I didn't like one color on this project and i do plan on changing it later on. I represented the bear on this project by doing a coil style for its claws, another style as for its nose and i used a scoring tool to scratch the middle of it to make it look like the brown fur it has. Adding the brown fur was my last detail i did before putting it outside to dry. My theme is football for the 49ers and this was a gift for someones birthday i really love how it turned out. I took so long making the slip dots i think it took me more than a week but it was worth it, also i was going to add the dots all over for the football effect but i realized it would've been to much going on with the carvings.
