I choose this conference because it is closely related to new areas that I will be responsible for supporting this coming  school year. The session that stood out the most for me was a session called:  It’s Showtime: Build a Student Operated Radio & TV on Your Campus! This was a session that I feel is important to multiple campuses in Klein ISD that are looking to build on their Broadcasting Pathway. The teacher that shared his journey gave some very good examples of how the community collaborated with the school to build the program. I will share the information with our Broadcasting teachers at PLCs and look for an opportunity to bring in community support for their programs. I will know that this is successful when we have 1 - 2 new campuses with live or recorded broadcasts each year. The end goal is to have live broadcasts at all five high schools and all ten intermediates in the next five years.
