The first thought while joining the class was how my teachers would be, will they be strict or very friendly and indeed I found friends and mentors in all my teachers. Starting from the orientation till today you have always made it easy for us to accommodate ourselves even in these virtual times. Starting with Vivek Divekar sir, who made accounting a cakewalk for all of us and for his commerce friends (as he profoundly calls us)☺, Our finance goddess Manisha Sanghvi mam🙂, I adore you so much as a woman, always calm and composed and straight to the point, you being so successful in this field motivated me too. How can I forget the jokes that Gandhi sir cracks during the class😄and correlating operations to our daily lives. The excel classes are are the most near to our heart❤ Hemant sir is a true gem of a person, I really want to know where does sir gets that energy to have that fantastic smile all day long. Hirak sir's politeness is commendable and a special thanks to my mentor Rashmy Moray mam who really became a true friend of mine and who made the mentoring session all fun. My GCC team head Mita mam who is that pillar of support to all of us and our Placement cell head Renu Kulkarni mam who is our beauty with brains in all sense. Lastly the our root, Director sir in whose presence we all are flourishing everyday and sir we'll make you and the Institute proud one day and we'll surely take your Shabashi.
I'm sure this journey at SIMS will be a journey which I will revisit again and again everyday in my thoughts and you the teachers are the ones who are making it beautiful.
I bow down to my Gurus(teachers) for imparting the immense wealth of knowledge & wisdom and for being with me.
I wish all the faculty members, our support staff and the IT department also a very happy Teacher's Day and a healthy and prosperous life ahead. Without you all we are incomplete.
I hope that we all meet soon on the campus. ☺

Sukhbir Sir - A Man with a white shirt and specs

I never write much about my feelings and thoughts, but yea i do enjoy them - you may say it's nostalgic, but i believe it's the happy part which you have already lived.

I wasn't a great student back then, my parents always had high hopes from me as i belong to a typical middle class defense family. During my schooling i was an average student or i would rather say i was a below average student, and Maths - don't u talk about it, this subject still gives me those horripilation.

I believe i was quite destined to meet Sukhbir Sir - A man with a simple white shirt and a pair of round specs, he used to look quite similar to my father, but i can say a less "dangerous" than my dad. Teachers are said to guide, teach and build a student's life or career, but he did something more for me, He was my Maths teacher, He did something, some miracle - that a student who shivers with the name of MATHS, actually started liking maths, student who wants to just skip that 45 min of Maths class, now actually sits and enjoys it. I would say he is the man who not only made me get out of "MATHS FEAR", but he is someone who gave a confidence to a student who was in the verge of losing himself, he gave that strength to that introvert boy to come up and ask questions and realize it is not that tough to actually raise your voice in the classroom, I don't know why but i enjoyed the part that i can go to him for anything, I would make it simple, As people generally look at their father's face to get that acknowledgement for any achievement, I started looking for the acknowledgement in his face, It doesn't matter how many marks i get, if his face is delighted and smiling while giving me my answer sheet in the classroom, I feel that i did well.

My dad started observing a change, may be due to my marks, as he was too concerned about them. He was liking this change in me. But as you say " When everything is going right, something bad always happens" - POSTINGS (DEFENSE BRAT'S HAVE SOME SPECIAL PLACE FOR THIS WORD) - I felt bad to say a good bye to my favorite teacher, I still remember the touch of his hands over my head when i told him about my dad's posting, It was a different feeling altogether, My father came to get things done from the school regarding TC and other documents. Then he asked me where i can find your sukhbir sir, That was strange coz he never meets my teacher apart from PTA Meetings, When i took him to sukhbir sir, I still remember my father shaking hands with him firmly and saying "THANK YOU" - That word was self explanatory, Wow, a thank you from my father (I AM STILL SEARCHING FOR THE MOMENT WHEN GREETS ME WITH THAT CHARM) - But i believe it's a gesture from a man to another man to see his child doing good due to a Teacher - who changed my life.

I never met him after that, I still wonder where he will be right now! I just wanna wish him good health, Thank him and Wish him and all the teacher's who made that connection with their students. HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!!!

The Purpose

we often think about what is our purpose in life, what we have to achieve by doing any of the things that we do. if we try to look deep inside removing all the noise, we see that there is just one singular purpose- to collect information and pass it on. when life started as a single cell without any consciousness even there the purpose was to transfer the genetic information. moving to complex life we shared much more information with our off-springs aside from the genetic, we shared knowledge of survival, arts, and sciences. I can confidently say that teaching-learning appears to be the sole purpose of any life form. We are simply the conductors of knowledge from those who came before us to those who will be there after us. Thus, those who take up this crucial responsibility of the web of life are beyond any praise. Teachers ensure that our knowledge and values are successfully transferred to the next generation so that the civilization may become better by adopting our successes and learning from our failures.
