In Extreme perception and animal intelligence, authors Temple Grandin and Catherine Johnson describe animals' understanding of the world around them through their advanced perceptual abilities. Some animals can help people with these abilities that can be able to train themselves. Two of these animals are for example, the seizure alert dogs and a famouse horse called "clever hands" that who everyone thought could solve mathematical problems. Knowing that these animals were supposed to have trained themselves, many specialists started to study them

First , we have the seizure alert dogs that can predict the seizure before the happens. There is still doubt as to how these dogs could be trained cause only the dogs that help when the seizure is on the march are known, but one study found that 10 percent of owners said their seizure response dogs had turned into seizure alert dogs. There was a case where a woman named Connie Standley had two huge Bouvier de Flanders dogs that predict her seizures 30 minutos before it happens. Most of the time when they see she's about to go into a seizure, they start to make thinks like pulling her clothes or bark her. Ms.Standley says they predicted 80 percent of her seizures

Another famouse case is of a horse called Clever Hans who's owner Wilhelm von Osten in the early 1900s tought the horse could resolve math problems. After the study of a psychologist named Oskar Pfungst was deduced that the horse in reality didn't solve the mathematical problems, what happened is that people did not know that they were emitting signals that only the horse could see and that way the horse knew when to start tapping and stop them.
