Five teens are stranded in the middle of the kalhari desert. They have no adults, water, and no food. The teens have one hope: the  zoologist who was is their tour guide for the safari. She knows what should help them make it to the airport and escape from the danger. To add to the threat, they have seen a lion with a silvery sheen and a too agressive nature, like rabies.              The Giver is a dystopian novel by Lois Lowery. It is about a boy named Jonas who grew up without any idea of previous memories before him sad and happy. He lives in a world where no one feels emotions, like happiness, and anger. But one special day, Jonas gets picked to be the next Giver, now, all of the lies he has been told will be revealed...
This book is for readers who like dystopian books. It is a fast paced book that leaves you at the edge  of your seet. I would recommend this book to children ten and up. The Giver is a spectacular book.
