              My found poem is abstract. Not many people will find the deeper meaning of it. Only the top one percent of intellectuals would understand. My drawing however is pretty easy to grasp. In essence, the Declaration of Independence is America telling the king that they are done with him. The King isn’t welcomed to put his troops all up in their business. The King is especially unwelcome to tax America. My picture represents all of those unwelcomes. America doesn’t want to hear about England  anymore because we’re doing just fine on our own.

My poem focuses on the power of the people and their protests against unjust government laws and regulations. The power of their voices and how they can change the conversation and taking a stand for what they believe in. In my poem, I wrote "posters" of different issues that have been protested against by the people. I couldn't fit a LGBTQIA+ flag into one of my posters so I made all of the buildings in "the city" rainbow to symbolize gay rights as well.
