I prefer team sports. Firstly, i think that taking part in team sports allows me to communicate with others and work together as a team. Secondly, it helps me to get to know my teammates better and strengthen the bonds between us. Lastly, if we lose a game, everyone will feel the same way and i will not feel alone or feel weird for feeling this way. Personally, i have taken part in team sports quite often and i find that i get to know my teammates much better as we have a common topic to discuss about which is the sport we are engaging in and that allows us to get to know each other better and strengthen bonds between us. However, others may argue that individual sports are better because as an individual, you will not have teammates who will outshine you and you will be able to showcase your talent and skills in your own way. You will also have a coach who will focus on you only to improve on the sport better rather than a coach who has to focus on many other teammates, which might not let you go past your limits. For example, a rhythmic gymnast have performances on their own which will allow everyone to see how good you are as an individual. This might be why others may prefer individual sports. Despite this, I still prefer team sports.

Personally, I would prefer individual sport over team sports. This is because I am usually an introverted person and tend to live a more isolated lifestyle than others. As team sports will always involve communicating with my team, I would avoid team sports as I am lack communication and oratorical skills. Furthermore as most sports are fast paced, I usually dont react fast enough to inform my team members of anything. Another point would be that I simply find individual sports more fun than team sports. Such sports include archery, air rifle and swimming. I find these sports much more exhilarating than most team sports. Furthermore in team sports, team members may become a liability during games. However in individual sports, you only have yourself to blame. This removes the frustration whenever a team member makes a mistake as you wont have any for individual sports. However, I can definitely see how some people will prefer team sports over individual sports. Some people may be more open and extroverted and may not appeal to such activities. Thus, these people will most likely prefer team sports over individual sports as they may have an easier time communicating and socialising with others.

The worst health advice I have received is wearing a long-sleeved swimsuit will protect you from the sun. Long-sleeved swimsuits offer extended coverage compared to conventional swimwear, but they do not provide comprehensive protection against UV radiation. However, certain areas, such as the face, neck, hands, and feet, remain exposed unless covered with additional clothing or sunscreen. My personal experience taught me this cold or more suited "hot" hard truth. Even though, my body was covered, the soles of my feet were sunburnt and covered with blisters when I tried to scratch it which made it impossible for me to walk for a while.

However, drinking plenty of water is the best advice I have received from many people be it my family, friends, and even doctors when I seek medical attention from a doctor. Drinking water helps in many aspects such as regulating body temperature and joints which is helpful in a climate like Singapore's, where the temperature can be very unforgiving if we fall ill due to a fever. It is also the healthiest option for all individuals than other cool drinks as it is not fizzy or sweet, and is refreshing without any added chemicals. Furthermore, drinking plenty of water can reduce the risk of dehydration and heatstroke from taking place. However, others may argue that water may not be that be too effective or efficient in dealing with the hot climate in Singapore. I feel that water is actually very helpful when it comes to regulating body temperature and recovering from fevers faster. I can stand by this as, when I had a terrible fever, drinking water in huge amounts beat the heat for me. Henceforth, drinking water works for me, in said circumstance, and therefore is the best health advice I have ever received.

I originally wanted to see a doctor and told my parents about the situation. They all believed that it was just a matter of sleeping in the wrong angle at night and told me to "endure the pain it will soon subside". Them being my parents, i obviously chose to take their advice and continue with my life. However, the pain continued to persist for months to the point where I could not walk and my parents took me the A&E. I was later brought to do an MRI scan where I found out that the fluids in my tailbone appeared hallow in the scan and the bone was hitting against my nerves.

In conclusion, not all health advices may work everybody and it depends on a persons body type. Health advices may not always be true. Not all health advice would benefit a person and might even damage a persons health.

How can we encourage youth to play sports?

There are a few ways to convince them to play sports.

One way is to display a wide variety of health benefits to them, such as increased strength, agility, and flexibility. For example, active sports such as basketball and soccer train the leg muscles and increases endurance. By giving them the advantages of playing sports, more youth might be interested in trying it out.

Another way is to encourage youths to participate in sports by displaying inspiring role models, creating supportive communities, offering diverse and engaging activities, and providing opportunities for personal growth and achievement through fitness.

However, participation in sports can be hindered by various factors. Some individuals may face physical limitations or medical conditions that make certain sports activities challenging or unsafe. In my experience, though, I have played basketball on wheelchairs during my basketball camp to learn that there are also alternatives for them to play sports such as this and to learn to be grateful we have arms and legs to play normal basketball.

In conclusion, sports can be a fun and interesting activity. Sadly, not everyone has the advantages to play sports. Sports helps to promote a healthier lifestyle and body , which is beneficial for youths and adults. However, some people may not be interested in it and rewards is needed to motivate them to play sports.

Firstly, the school can make youths play outdoor sports by introducing new sports that will interest youths during Physical education which can make them let them take part in and experience new things.

Secondly, the youth could join academies that enhances talents and bring out the potential within youths whom enjoy sports and aspire to grow their abilities and mould them to a better future. One example could be the activeSg football academy, that recognises and sharpens their skills to become better athletes at the end of the day. This could encourage them to play outdoor sports.

Thirdly, youths can take part in the OBS programme, arranged by the government, this once in a lifetime programme allows them to step out of their comfort zones and take part in various activities that serve as an eye opener to them. Another way is that the government can arrange a community club activity for youths to play and give attractive rewards for those who enter. This could attract youths to join and make them more enthusiastic for outdoor sports

how to encourage youth to play outdoor sports

There are many ways to encourage youths to play outdoor sports . Based on my experience, i feel that many people do not have the time to go outdoors as they are mostly busy with school and work life with tons of assignments to complete or are in the virtual world. In order to encourage more youths to participate, the government can host sports tournaments or leagues in local parks to foster interest and participation. They also can ensure that there are facilities and equipment available for various sports, either through community centers or school programs. However others may argue that playing outdoor sports is a waste of time . Not only it will drain our energy but also increase the chances of getting heat related injuries , especially with Singapore’s humid weather nowadays due to global warming . In conclusion , i feel that the best ways to encourage youths to play outdoor sports activities is to organise fun and exciting tournaments for them to participate in . With that, i hope that more youths will be able to take up more sports in the future .

We can persuade youths to watch more live games to help them get an interest in the sport. For example, youths can get inspiration from their favourite player and can aspire to become like them one day. From my personal experience, I started playing football because I aspired to be just like the football star player, Messi. This helped me get more motivation, and I started to play more sports outside. Therefore, by watching more live sports, they can have more motivation for outdoor sports.

Another way to get youths to play outdoor sports is to show them the health benefits they can achieve when playing outdoor sports. Many are motivated and encouraged to play sports after finding out the benefits it brings to their health. Similarly, from my personal experience, I was also motivated to play outdoor sports through understanding the health benefits it gives me. Two benefits that really motivated me to play sports was that running could help lose body weight and increase my lifespan. Therefore, explaining the benefits of sports is also another way to encourage youths to play outdoor sports.

However, most of the youths prefer online games over outdoor games. They are addicted to mobile games so they may not have interest and time in sports. For example, my classmates are addicted to mobile games. They always play online games during recess or whenever they have the time to, and do not exercise at all. As a result, they fall sick easily and have health problems.

All in all, although we may not be able to convince all youths to play outdoor sports, I feel that the best ways to encourage most youths is by showing them videos of sport games and competitions as well as to share the health benefits that sports can bring to their lives.

Personally, I prefer team sports over individual sports. I believe that team sports is not only more enjoyable, it also helps develop communication and teamwork skills. Firstly, I'm an extrovert, so I am very open to talking to new people and making friends with them. Being able to play sports with other people that I know is far more enjoyable than playing it alone, I feel that playing sports alone serves no purpose. Secondly, through playing sports with my team, I get to bond together with my teammates. When we are playing, I find that communication is most important as that is the key factor the differentiates us from other groups. Being in a team helps me with my team work skills as I can also apply them in my daily life, such as projects in school.

Lastly, I also believe that in order to play team sports, you need to have determination and also need to be in a fit and healthy condition. Personally, I was in basketball cca in school, which is a team sport, so I have refined my determination skills so i believe that im well equipped with all the skills i need.

However, I do know of someone that prefers individual sports over team sports. My friend, Yuyang, a introvert, is in the school's bowling cca and has represented the school. Bowling is perfect for him as he does not need to talk to anyone and he is able to showcase his talent and skills for himself and gets all the credit for his good work. He is also shy and lacks communication skills as he has never played a team sport, thats why, Yuyang will prefer individual sports over team sports. All in all, these are the reasons why I prefer team sports over individual sports.

Personally, I prefer team sports over individual sports.

Firstly, I feel that team sports allow me to step out of my comfort zone and converse with others. To me, socialising with people come off as a benefit as I am able to improve my communication skills and become a more confident speaker. My friend shared a similar experience. At the beginning of secondary school, she was a quiet and introverted girl who felt uncomfortable talking to others. However, after joining the badminton cca, she slowly started to open up to others and show a more sociable side of herself through trainings and friendly matches with her team mates. Her timid self had slowly become more confident. By joining a team sport, I am able to be more outgoing and sociable with others.

Secondly, I find team sports much more exhilarating compared to individual sports. I feel that going for competitions with team mates are more enjoyable as I have people to chat with. Additionally, I can share achievements as well as joyful moments with them. I personally feel that playing individually lacks excitement as I have no one to talk to, while team sports allow me to engage in conversations. Overall, having teammates promote a very cheery atmosphere, which is why I prefer team sports over individual sports.

However, others may argue that they prefer individual sports because of their personal preference. Some sport players are more productive working individually compared to training with others. I have a friend who plays tennis that went through a similar experience. My friend is very skillful and performs well in competitions. But when she plays friendly matches with her friends, she finds it difficult to cooperate with them as she's used to playing on her own. She felt that playing with others restrained her from doing her best, which shows that some perform better individually and prefer individual sports.

All in all, I prefer team sports over individual sports. In the near future, I hope that I can influence others to participate in team sports and strengthen their bonds with others.

I would prefer team sport as it can help me enhance my communication abilities in a supportive and interactive setting. For introverts like me, who finds it challenging to express myself openly, participating in team activities fosters a process of social interaction and expression. Through the shared experience of working towards a common goal with teammates, I learn to express my ideas and convey thoughts efficiently and effectively. Team sports does not only cultivates stronger communication skills but also promotes teamwork, empathy, and mutual

I have also always been drawn to the exhilaration of team sports, where every member’s effort contributes to a collective goal.

I find this amusing as team sport allow us to coordinate together as a team to play sports together strategically and there is a synergy for all of us to come together as a group to work towards the same goal. The teamwork forged on the field or court creates lasting bonds and unforgettable memories. Personally I am someone who strongly wants to create wonderful memories with people. Example, during the first PE lesson in Secondary 3 we played floor ball and from there i was able to become close to some of my classmates who are now my closest friends.

However, others may argue that amidst the thrill of teamwork, some may also come to appreciate the self-reliance of individual sports. In sports like tennis or swimming, success is solely base on personal skill and determination, allowing for a deeper sense of accomplishment. While team sports celebrate unity, individual sports celebrate the strength found within oneself. All in all i prefer team sports as I believe that it can help me grow better in terms of my social and collaborative skills
