What I now know from this week was that we was able to use are smoke bombs in the public area as we wasn't close to any of the houses. The smoke bombs lasted for around 20 to 30 seconds and you're even able to run through as they don't leave color stains on clothes and they don't give off an odor if you come in contact with it.

Me and the group went to the town park and took shot for are video. As the camera operator i did close ups on trees and for some of the others it was zoomed out as i wanted the viewer to see most of the environment. Unfortunately I couldn't get the shots I wanted for everything as the camera didn't have good focus and the camera was something I haven't worked with before and the same went for my group members. Before we did the smoke bombs at the town park we did a little test run inside the college to see what what it will look before we do the real thing. Lucky for are group we managed to use the test footage in are actual as there wasn't much difference in the location

Where I showed my work was through Showbie or Padlet were I put up a couple picture and videos of what are location is going to look like and also how it will look like when we do are actual shoot.

To improve the work we did as a group I would say that we work as a group whenever someone is struggling with their role. As it can lead to them being stressed and therefor they'll feel guilty for letting the group down if they were not able to achieve the video that they first expected.

This week I know creative ways to make a video and still make it fit in with song. I also know not to to walk away from my group members even if they are walking slow as it does cause problems. i found more out about the ILP and what it does for the college.

This week me and my group went to to are location which were the ASDA forest and also the town park fields. Took several shots of what we are going to be looking at when it comes to the video. we did this two times in order for us to know what we want in the video. we managed to get are smoke bombs however we can to use them in the areas we chose as it is not a public area so i think what we are going to do instead is do it in the college as cliff said we would be able to.

I showed some of the work on showbie such as the health and safety and location as i was unable to put it onto my padlet line due to the size memory allowed on padlet. My photos that I had taken this week will be going onto the the group padlet wall which I have already got several images on.

To improve on what i need to do to make my videos better would be to took more then one shot but of different angles as just having one makes the video look plain and therefore people would not like to watch it because it wouldn't fit the music. I think i also need to start sharing my ideas more as they could be used in the future. the reason why i say this because in are meeting on Thursday where the group happened to like my ideas and therefor use them in the music video.

This week I learnt the importance of my role in the group. It was knowing the health and safety hazards and how to prevent anything bad from happening. a thing that is also recommended from me as a camera operator is choosing a location and that making sure everyone is okay with what I want do as the location. the location that we chose had a lot of entries to get into and all of them were easy to access. i now know that you shouldn't take girls to the forest as they tend to get scared of pretty much everything and with them it took longer to find things to to take pictures of.

What I done this week was take several shots of the location do give us a few ideas of what we are going to do for this music video. We've even had a meeting on how we are going to shoot the smoke bombs in the video and do a test run, to see how things will turn out in the video.the forest happened to to be very muddy on the day we took pictures and hopefully when we make the video it isn't or else we'll have to think of an alternative place for us to to make the video.

How me and the group showed are work was through are pre-production padlet wall where me and the group put up what we have done onto this one page. It shows how much we have done and the chemistry we have built throughout are time as group from beginning to end.

For me to improve in the group I feel like I would need to suggest a couple more place that we could do for the video. another thing would be to get inspired by other people and make the video look a little bit similar to those that would go with the song.

this week i had learnt how to do a short clip from a movie scene. i now know how many shots are taken in order to create a tiny clip of something and make it also look realistic. this made me realize how much effort it takes to do this and how creative you have to be in order to do multiple scenes at once. throughout are short movie clip it showed me how significant everyone's role was and that we all need one another in order to do even the basics of are movie.

my job role as the camera for the group was to mimic the shots taken in home alone to make them look similar but it wasn't that simple as i had to keep retaking the scene as it had to look professional to the audience. unfortunately are editor wasn't in the day we needed them so i stepped in and tried mt best in 5 minutes to do the video but i only managed to put the clips in order.

the way we showed are work would be through premier pro as that was how we shortened are clips and after we were happy with it, we put it onto showbie in which it was played in front of the class where the group managed to get feedback on how to improve and also the good things that we done.

what i need to improve on with being the camera operator would be to not be so shaky with the camera movement and that a way to prevent that would've been to take more shots when a character had moved up and down.

This week we had a couple of activity's and they helped me develop my knowledge even more that what I had last week. The activity that didn't improve my knowledge much would have to be when we was in the motion room and went onto kahoot, and learnt some random facts about Christmas and music. the activity that helped boost my knowledge was when doing are crew profile as I got to learn new things and was also out my comfort zone which made me do things I never thought I was capable of and made me feel comfortable knowing that group is willing to listen to anything I have to say when it comes to my opinions about the group task.

The things I did this week i think definitely improved my social skills. The reason i would have to say this is probably because I had to think on the spot when it came to asking questions. The several question I had gotten given were to do with my roll in the group as I was the camera operator. I didn't want to do this at the start however I had a supportive and encouraging group which kept telling me I could do it. i done it and felt ecstatic with what I manged to do as I never thought I could do it, as I don't have much confidants in myself.

How I showed my work was through showbie where i had posted my job role from PowerPoint in the group. I also did my voice recording of the crew profile onto are producers showbie (everyone in the group put it on the producers showbie).

What I need to improve on the most from this week would have to be my communication as my group would have to get feedback from me when knowing how things are going down on my end. Another important factor from this would being responsible as my group are expecting me to do the job role I signed up for and hopefully I don't disappoint them with the work i put up.

Over this week we have done a lot of activity to get put into the mindset of what we are expected to do when planning a music video (it's more then what a casual viewer on the internet would think). What I do know now that didn't know at the start of this week was knowing how helpful a group could be when trying to complete a task. they made it easier and also made a lot less stressful as they were very reliable when put in a hard situation. when looking into music videos I now know the key things that go into it as I made a mind map for several music videos and one of my choice. These mind maps should benefit when I make my own video with a group.

What I've done this week was create a mind map on various music videos which also came out in different eras. I even did the mean features features which are incorporated into these music videos that are known as props, costume, set/location, equipment, editing techniques, styles, shot types, lyric meaning, health & safety and the last thing and the most critical would have to be the audience. This helped me understand that more when I was doing this task.

I showed my work on a canvas padlet wall. There where around 9 key factors that came to knowing what was in a music video. To waste less time on the task I did a remake on it and just changed the music video on the center of the screen. This helped tremendously as I've been trying to mange my time better and this has just done that.

What I should do to improve my work would be my communication as I want to voice my opinion with my class mates in a way in which we are all proud of what we have managed to do for are task. Hopefully I can do this on my final project as I don't want to feel regret a few months after we've finished the project.

This week I had learnt a couple more things added onto last weeks things when it comes to making a music video. on Monday I had learnt more about the way music was made and had looked into it from different eras. throughout these music videos I was struggling to realise where urban and nature fit into the videos until later on realising that it's in pretty much all the videos I've watched and more. now that I know that, that rule has been completely removed when it comes to finding a video. on Thursday I had then found out there was the 4 formal elements that were mixed in with the video.

What I had done over this week was finish my mini research on the 6 techniques in my music video which had been cutting to the beat, multi-image, camera movements, camera angles, miming and lip syncing and animations which had also included my 5 different eras. On Thursday I also had managed to finish my 4 formal elements paddle wall, where I also had to find them from various eras and these videos had to look similar to my final piece work, that I had done from unit 1. This was definitely the easier task for me as I've not long learnt what it is especially when I was doing it over 6 weeks.

when I was doing my 6 techniques and my formal elements task, I had posted them onto my padlet wall. the specific pallet was also the same for both f these which is called shelf.

To improve on work I would have to say that I need to improve on my time management as I do no longer think that I need more time but I need to do more in that time as I tended to get distracted a lot when it came to finding music videos. this was because I happened to go onto a music video that I liked and then it would spiral down from there for about 30 minutes.

this week i had learnt a couple of things that have to do with making a music video. the first thing would have to be that there is 6 different techniques of music videos which have been shown over the eras. when i watch music videos i now start to notice these styles. these styles are called, cutting to the beat where the shots in the video would cut to the next time with the beat, you got miming and lip syncing where you would mimic or follow the lyrics to a song as to make it seem as if you are singing it, synchronizing your lips to the sounds of the playback recording, you also got camera movement and this is where the camera scans a scene horizontally or vertically . Dolly/tracking/crane this is were the camera is mounted on a tripod with wheels or a mounted cart which travels along tracks for a very smooth movement and there is also more ways to make your video but that would be boring to just read them all out. some of these techniques that i now know have influenced me to put it into my video and hopefully you'll be able to see that soon.

what i did this week was research the 6 styles and research each one on the internet. i would recommend anyone who is doing this task that you should go on YouTube as it has pretty much everything you need on one website which could help when you don't have much time to do this task. once i had found my videos for each of these styles i put it onto my padlet post and i copied the link. i also had to take a part of my song and change the lyrics for the two songs that i liked the most from my task two work.

this week i had finished my task two and put it onto my shelf padlet wall which had up to 20 and had also done my task 3 padlet which had 6 pictures ( one per category) and done two written songs.

This week I had developed my skills further and have also learnt multiple skills. One is knowing what urban and nature is. Nature are things that aren't man made e.g trees, pebbles, grass. urban is man made objects e.g roads, buildings, cars. the other thing I had learnt is a rough idea of making a music video. I also found out the different styles in music video when looking at popular genres and representing those elements and attaching links of the music videos to support my reasons on why i chose the video. the 4 different I now know are parody, influence of commercials, narrative and in-concert and live footage.

What I done this week was take 6 images of urban and nature which had been taken by photographers. I then had to Photoshop my image three times making it look different while all of them looking different. after I had done this, I had put my three Photoshop pictures into a new folder. After I done my folder and put my images inside it, I had to put it onto a contact sheet. I had to slightly edit it, as I wanted images to be closer and have no text on it.

I presented my work on showbie where I had put my finished contact sheets. To make sure it was good and ready to go was showing it to over people and getting their opinions as I wouldn't like to show work that may be complete rubbish.

What I need to improve on the most and I think is evident when viewing my work and it would have to be using a bigger range of editing tools then what I'm use to or it could be a bit boring to view.

what i know from this week was that you need to work as a team and that everyone has to do their role or it wouldn't be as good as it could've been. for the music i should've made more shots for editor to work with as there wasn't much to work with at the end. i should've saved the clips in a document because a lot of time was wasted when trying to get clips into the music video.

we screened the music video and we had some positive comments and some constructive criticism that would help benefit me in the future when i work in a group again. in the video i did some editing as the editor wasn't in much which was unfortunate for us.

to improve the work we took a voice recording to get feedback.however the voice recorder was a bit slow to start working so we only manged to get half of it. some of the things they said that wasn't on it was that we should've added a few more shots. to improve the shot of the sun we should've used a tripod and camera because the footage was very shaky making it hard for the viewer to see. there should've been more transitions between clips as most of it didn't run smoothly and that you should make more clips to keep to changing to whenever the beat would drop as it would give off a bigger impact. i think that after we had done the music video we could've put in some more of are clips that we had saved onto are document. to avoid all of the things we could've done when taking are footage we should've started getting are clips one to two weeks early as we would have more time to edit and therefor the video would look better.

we showed the work in front of the class and also some level 3 students. we also said a couple things about why we chose this video and what the video symbolizes.
