This Ride's pattern of motion signifies simple harmonic motion in that the system, the wheel, is oscillating back and forth under a retarding force, the tension force of the steel beam connecting it to the center, proportional to the amount of displacement from it's equilibrium position. We can also see that this ride signifies simple harmonic motion in that, if we were to do a position v. time graph of the system's motion it would be sinusoidal in nature which corresponds to what we know of simple harmonic motion

We can see that this ride clearly signifies centripetal acceleration as we can see that the people are clearly spinning yet they are not flying out of the ride. This shows us that the people on the ride clearly have an unbalanced force directed towards the center which allows the people to experience a centripetal acceleration towards the center of the sombrero

We can also tell that this is an impulse since it changes the momentum of the puck as the impulse of the handles on the puck cause the puck's momentum to change as can be seen by it's rapid gain of velocity

As seen in the video, the mechanical components of the ride clearly does work on the component of the ride going upwards, as the machine applies a constant force over a period of time to cause a change in energy for the people as they race upwards. This, Specifically, is a positive work as the machine increases the overall energy of that system, the people and the superman cart, as a greater height is reached and so the work is positive as PEg increases.

Assuming that downwards and to the right is the positive direction, we can see positive acceleration in action in this video. As the video clearly displays the roller coaster speeding up as it get's lower down the hill while experiencing constant positive acceleration due to gravity. This reflects what we have learned in class about positive acceleration as the coaster's motion speeds up due to gravity, an unbalanced force, and so the coaster experiences a positive acceleration as gravity causes it to speed up in the positive direction
