I feel like this is a program that I can offer to the students at my adopted school during the summer months. Since I teach over 200 students at the school, the program would allow them to get more one on one hands on lessons at the community garden. I could then award them the Jr Master Gardener upon completion and allow them to take on more leadership roles at the school garden during the school year. We are all hoping to develop a connection between children and the natural world of gardens or between children and the source of their food.
