Youth work is not a project, it's an ongoing service.

We need tools/systems to support youth work development, so we could use f. ex. TCAs more.

Some countries rely heavily on the E+/Corps' funds to set up and develop youth work.

With more flexibility and more funding, it would be easier to reach out to a wider range of participants, particularly to those with fewer opportunities.

Recognition for youth workers and the non-formal sector shall be improved

What is youth work? What is most relevant? Maybe also work with examples, but not with exclusive definitions. Who we want to exclude and why? Where is the border about religious groups?

Peer-learning: More circulation of knowledge between those active on national and those active on international level needed

SALTO: Resources are there, but the problem is that most of the resources are in English. -> Having TCA in language groups might be useful.

Accreditation: Helps but needs to be handled strictly (relevance) due to avoid dubious actors.

How to tackle AI? How to make it a chnce instead of a danger? What tools can help to get us there?

We need to have better tools for actually seeing if paper and reality of project are matching.

More ressources for training for ESC organisations and volunteers (this is also linked to the limitations of the membership fee)

EU programmes are the only source of funding in some countries to develop youth work, youth workers and they create a specific space to reflect in an interculteral dimension. Both trough Mobility of YW but also through TCA/NET activities

The programmes could invest more in working with multiplier/ youth workers as the impact can be bigger than working with every indiidual young person

without youth work, the % of ypfo participating at EU projects would be low as there access is ensured through youth work organisations. Through NFE the involvement of the target group is higher. Underline the egalitarian aspect, that everyone learns the same

The UK could be an example of this. Losing the sense of belonging.

The network at european level. And also the feeling of belonging and that we are strong together.

If we are changing lifes those changes will not have that change.

It is an educational tool, a method. Not just mobility. Pedagogically valuable. They contribute to quality and development.

More synergies between local level and european level - Europe goes local for example; alignment of local activities to fit the programmes and allow them to be funded; exchange of practices, networking, studyvisits...

not all organisatons have the same starting line - providing support in applying is very important to include also smaller organisations, organisations from rural areas etc.

if no programmes, youth work would be poorer 'provincial'. It enriches the national/local youth work. The funding and the topics are important. Often sustainability is an issue if the funding goes.

the sector is often weak on the national level, withouth the programmes, it would even be weaker and it would also not be important to have a youth policy/ministry resonponsible. YP would be left alone and seen as student or a problem.

EU programmes in the field of youth should not be taken for granted

In the ESC yp bring in their workpower in many small initiatives in very different field, in many organisations they bring in an essential value so also porg. in the field of envoronment, disability, etc.We would really miss the concrete work

A lot of funding is invested in elderly, children but the young people are often forgotten, transition periods in life is longer and solidarity Corps helps.

Reflexion on how youth work is in our countries. Erasmus+ has helped a lot to develop a network of youth workers, connected to each other (case of Spain) in Germany there's so much youth work that the agency is just another player and there are not enough youth workers.

Organizations also support each others.

The value of SOLIDARITY should be more emphasized in the new EU Youth Strategy, also in focus on partner/third countries. Solidarity between citizens of Europe and young people in partner/ third countries of Eastern Partnership Countries and Western Balkans should be more emphasized, especially in the view of Russian invasion in Ukraine, unrest situation in Belarus and recent election results in Russia. Networking initiatives such as Young European Ambassadors should be continued and enhanced. The link to the Europeers network should be added and a synergy link between both networks should be facilitated with the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes.

Financing smaller projects that do not fit into national schemes - eg. more funding for Participation projects and Solidarity projects.

Programmes are already supportive - European grants are working at the local communities level, in rural areas and, sometimes, force local municipalities to think about young people also ina broader local/national context

Programmes should continue to empower individual youth workers who aprticipate in E+ and ESC programmes themseves at the beginning and then come back to their communities with more knowledge, experience and add to their better functioning. Youth workers, youth councils are taught through E+ and ESC projects that youth work is a service, and that it really brings a difference to the society, local community etc.

connecting young people and their needs in the programme should be kept, let's see what the Youthcheck brings - we are all curious :-)

followup and impat of the projects, especially in KA2, are the weakest links, the results should be continued even after the final reports is evaluated to have longer lastinf impact

more capactity building to empower youth organisations to be a part of networks and continue growing and delivering systemic impact

possibly KA2 on national capacity building level (with european dimension but not neccesarily yet european partners) and as a second step, have the international KA2; the first step could be funded in a way of "KA2 accreditation/preparation" - rethinking the KA2

the demand is higher than the allocted budget - the Youth budget should be higher - x2 or even x3 :-)

the use of AI and digital competences - especially in the context of the learing gap on digital priority between youth workers and young people

media literacy and critical thinking, being aware of risks - these issues should be more strengthened

maybe we should think what is a real youth organization? How it works? Covid revised the existence of many organizations that could not get the money because there were no mobilities, yet organizations were working. There should be ways to fud also indirect costs of organizations not necessarily linked to mobilities.

There is a gap between the high implementation reality of the projects and sometimes the way in which the application is written.

Empower youth workers to become a bridge between youth workers and other stakeholders

Use funding in cooperation projects for youth work and youth work development and involve youth organisations in the implementation of the projects.

Lack of capacity in describing what you as a youth worker are doing, have a good narrative, the why of a project

Importance of TCA/NET in supporting quality in youth work and bringing in the transnational dimimension/networking

Youth workers working with disadvantaged youth are under a lot of pressure ressourcewise and that is why it is difficult to apply for international programmes

Many options of peer learning and opportunities for diversity would be missed.

EU Youth strategy could not be internationalised

Internationale dimension of youth work would be lost

Accreditation helps strengthen the quality

TCA/NET are importnat tools for the development and implementation of the programme and the projects.

The budget is fully spent - 100% - More funding is needed both for the programme and for the management at the NA level.

Without the programme it would not be difficult to develope youth work in most countries

Support youth organizations that are newcommers. Before they apply. Guide them through the process.

Does the agencies consider themselves part of the youth field? We have impact obviously but how do they see us? We need to remind them that we are there to help.

We have to be more open, close, so they do not see us as the authorities but allies.

Eurodesk network can also help with that as in the network are organizations, also public administrations and as there are not grants involved it is a more horizontal environment to devoelop programs.

Challenge now with Sports. We need to build a network from the beggining and see how is it going to be liked with the youth field.

Application process is far too complicated, especially, if we want to address the youth with fewer opportunities. Simplification!

We need to link Erasmus+ Youth and ESC to the national youth policies/youth strategies. Both at strategic level and at plan of action-level.

More funding is needed for the NAs to actually have the time and energy to support newcommers, smaller organisations without a large staff to support them, youth organisations reaching out to youth with fewer opportunities. Inclusion actions take time and is capacity demanding.

KA2 and KA154 (Youth Participation Activities) can develope more to better reach youth organisations/organisations with "real" impact on the youth field.

Streamlining of age limits

Name is important – for example is military-sounding Solidary Corps the best at the current atmosphere? The name should have a meaning which resonates.

Recognition of the youth work as a profession varies from country to country. We should not make too tight categories for youth work, so we do not exclude relevant parties outside. There is also a significant input from volunteers in the field.

We are having so many applications of so many organizations not being part of the youth field. They should be more focused on the field.

Link KA2 to more clear objectives as Youth Goals, Youth Work Agenda so the projects will be more relevant.

Maybe having two steps in the assesment process so we can identify the not so relevant projects before they go to the full process of assessment.

TCA/NET is there precisely for that and we should mantain the budget.
