The quizzes in Gapminder are short and perfect for bell ringer activities. The students could take the quiz, earn a badge, then write down ideas or thoughts about the topics they find interesting in a digital journal entry. Since the quizzes in Gapminder are focused on global issues, students are exposed to facts that they may have had misconceptions about. Topics include: climate action, poverty, hunger, health and wellness, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and sustainable energy, decent work and economic growth, industry innovation, reduced inequities, and sustainable cities and communities. This will foster cultural and global awareness as well as build empathy for diversity. The gamified aspects of the site increase classroom engagement and can be used as topics for class discussions or civic project ideas, creating supportive learning experiences.

Complete with teacher's guides, Global Problem Solvers is an animated series about six super team members from six different countries, Jordan, France, Japan, Malawi, Brazil, and India. Much like students in a classroom, the diversity of the team members gives each of them unique skills which students can relate to. This shows students how digital skills, creativity, critical thinking, social consciousness, entrepreneurial skills, and teamwork skills can be used to make a difference in their own communities. This series can be incorporated in an ELA writing assignment. The printed scripts and storyboards that are offered, can give students a glimpse into how animated stories, movies, and TV shows are made and how dynamic characters help bring a story to life. Students can write their own stories with problems and create their own protagonists to solve them. Global Problem Solvers does not only foster social change agents, but it also engages students with the animated series and thought provoking problems.

The Poster Power lesson found on ePals can be incorporated as an art or history lesson. It requires partnered classrooms to analyze posters from the Smithsonian and collaborate to design meaningful posters to promote local items, events, or issues. Using one of ePals' curated activities, teachers can give their students global experiences to meet most subject areas. Whether it is connecting with a class or individually, students have the option to explore other cultures through art, food, history, literature, science, geography, politics, social issues, and health. This global and cultural exposure tool creates supportive learning experiences for students as young as 8 years old. By giving students choice, it engages them and allows them to develop student agency as they explore their interests.
