The reason she is in the story is that she finds newt looking for his niffler. Queenie is Tina’s sister who can read minds and uses her magic to cook. The man opened it then.... all he saw was a hufflepuff scarf, a clock, and pajamas. When he got through his case started moving. when that happened he had to get away from people with shiny things. 
 In the middle of the story newt finds himself next to Jacob a muggle with a lookalike case just as his case.
