What is the PYP program you ask?

That’s what we wanted to know.

Now two days of training have passed,

We’re going to explain, here we go.

International Mindedness is great,

Students reflect on beliefs of their own and others,

We guide them to think and collaborate,

This helps them become good people, fathers and mothers.

The transdisciplinary approach is best,

Take your prior knowledge and take it higher,

To dive deeper and inquire is the test.

With this new knowledge all brains will be sprier.

Central ideas are what guide us,

They cross boundaries and give us structure,

Global commonalities don’t cause us to fuss,

Inquire and explore so our world doesn't rupture.

Voice, choice, and ownership is the goal,

Learn to communicate your idea and your thought,

Explore what you want, find your role,

Own your own learning and you won’t be forgot.

Inquiry engages because kids want to know,

They can follow their curiosity under a teacher’s lead,

By following this path, the learning will flow,

They will learn information and retain what they need .

Before this training PYP made us worried and scared,

But Isela came to the rescue and made things so clear,

Now we feel more ready, closer to prepared,

We are beginning this journey now,  with a lot less fear.
