<title>reading is such a monster, and let&#39;s not forget my goal: to foster a love of reading. I want students to become engaged with books, to discover that love of reading. Kids WILL by and large respond to a reading initiative with a sigh (at least!). It&#39;s SO easy for the issue of accountability to the forefront. Should it? Am I getting in the way of the goal - getting in the way of discovering a love of reading - by emphasizing accountability. Where does accountability sit in this plan? Does it have a place?</title>
