On our first usrah, we learned about Ramadan through two videos of a kid who first experienced his first Ramadan. In the first video, we can see that he values Ramadan as the month of giving, greater rewards, and full of blessings. There is one night in Ramadan that's more blessed than a thousand months. Ramadan is also a month of patience and abstinence. He also learned that Hari Raya only can be declared after getting consent from the Conference of Rulers. The next video is a continuation of the recent video which is about his family hardship before entering syawal. but in the end, they managed to celebrate Raya. on the day of Raya, his family and relatives greet each other and ask for forgiveness. he also received a money gift. Although his older cousin didn't treat him well he still fight with himself to not take an act of revenge on his older cousin. In the end, he managed to get along with his older cousin because of his patience. ''Every good deed starts with sincerity of hearts''.

As we already know, salah is obligatory and one of the pillars of Islam. The video that is shown by Nik is about a man who always lies about praying. there is also a video of Ustaz Azhar Idrus talks about people who didn't pray aren't considered Muslims because the one who didn't pray is Allah's, Prophet Muhammad and angel enemy. But these days we didn't see the sin of not praying as a big crime. instead, we think that big crimes are drug addicts and burglars. Allah also promised that the one who leave the prayer will surely enter hell.

We learned about keeping prayer even if we had a lot of things to do.

After that, Nik talks about the task for usrah which is a group presentation. We later got divided into a group. There are five groups and topics. The topic is the benefits of having good niyah, why we need to be humble, the benefits of practicing good amal, what we gained from being patient and why we need to be khushu'. I and my group members got the topic ''what we got from being patience''.

During the usrah, Nik shared a video about the virtues of fasting and Ramadan. According to Nik, there are two types of fasting which are obligatory fasting and voluntary fasting. Obligatory fasting is fasting during Ramadan from the break of dawn till sunset. Allah says in the Quran, in Surah Al-Baqarah (2-183):
'O you who believe, sawm is prescribed on you as it was prescribed to those before you so that you may become self-restrained.' Voluntary fasting is a tradition of Prophet Muhammad SAW such as fasting every monday and thursday of a week. we also learn about lailatul qadr which is the night of power and is considered to be the Holiest night in the Islamic calendar. This was the night when the first verses of the Holy Qur’an were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), by Angel Jibrail. This night falls within the last 10 days of Ramadan, and although the exact date is unknown, it is widely believed to be the 27th day of the Holy month. This is a night of great remembrance and worship to Allah (SWT) and ranks higher than that of 1,000 months.

Group one, two, and three start to present their topic which is the benefits of having good niyyah, why we need to be humble, and the benefits of practicing good amal. We watched other group members presenting their topic and tried to understand what they were delivering. after that, we watched a video about the virtues of fasting and Ramadan. According to the video, the virtues of fasting are the voluntary night prayer that may be performed in congregation in this month, Prophet Muhammad used to perform I'tikaf(staying in the mosque) for the last ten days of Ramadan. this is because of Decree, which is better than a thousand months, occurs these days. next, the virtues of fasting include fasting as a shield from the hellfire, helping the worshipper to stay away from temptations, fasting intercedes on behalf of its observers on the day of judgment and a reason for happiness in this life and hereafter.

In this week, we learn about sadaqah and zakat. Zakat is the third of the five pillars of individually obligatory worship Islam is built on. The Muslim, the believer in Islam, fulfills it by paying a set sum in yearly alms (mostly 2.5 percent) out of his or her prescribed forms of surplus wealth to the eight kinds of people whom God has Himself designated in the Quran as either directly deserving or as qualified beneficiaries of its payment.‘Sadaqah’ has come to mean ‘voluntary charitable offerings’ in the usage of Muslims, but at the time of the Quran’s revelation and the Prophet Muhammad’s communication of its message, on him be peace, Sadaqah meant Zakat. So, Sadaqah encompasses the meaning of Zakat in God’s Divine Law, the Shari‘ah. Religious texts offer comprehensive descriptions of the minimum amount of zakat that should be distributed to those less fortunate. It generally varies, depending on whether wealth came from the farm produce, cattle, business activities, paper currency, or precious metals, such as gold and silver. Zakat is based on income and the value of possessions. The common minimum amount for those who qualify is 2.5% or 1/40 of a Muslim's total savings and wealth. Charity Increases Sustenance And Protects Wealth
Cause and effect, are from the wisdom of Allah (S.w.T.). He has connected the cause and effect of things. For example, the person who uses good methods in planting his crops will get a good harvest. Just the same way a person who eats and drinks healthily will have good health. Also, Allah states that giving charity removes evil. Abu Abdillah (a.s.) says: “Allah gives help to a person equal in quantity to the charity a person gives”.

During the last usrah, we learned about Hajj The Hajj, sometimes spelt Haj, is the annual pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are expected to make at least once in their lifetime. The word Hajj is an Arabic word, meaning ‘to intend a journey’. Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam – the others are shahadah (declaration of faith); salat (daily prayer); zakat (giving of alms); sawm (fasting in Ramadan). It is mandatory for Muslim adults to go on Hajj at least once in their lifetime. They must be of sound mind and physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey. The pilgrimage must take place during the month of Dhu al Hijja, the last month of the Islamic calendar. The rites of Hajj are performed from the 8th to the 12th of Dhu al Hijjah. As the Islamic calendar is based on the lunar year, the date changes in the Gregorian calendar each year, and is 10 to 11 days earlier than the preceding year. In 2019, Hajj is expected to be on or around August 9th. Not only that, we also learn about the history of Makkah. The establishment of Makkah, with the history and foundations of Makkah is directly connected to Prophet Ibrahim as he left his wife Haajar and his son Isma’il in that area in compliance with the command of Allah. Allah blessed Haajar and her son with the well of Zam-zam, and then people came from all directions and resided in Makkah. The first tribe to reside there was the tribe of Jurhum among whom Isma’il grew up and from whom he married. Ibrahim came many times to Makkah to check upon their condition, and later Allah commanded him to build the Ka’bah; Allah says: “And when Ibrahim was raising the foundations of the House and Isma’il, (saying): ''Our Lord! Accept (this) from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing.” [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:127]. Besides that, I also watched a video of a man who lost his imaan (faith). Nik also try to brighten up our days with sharing a video of a talks that says about ''Allah gives strength to a heart that's suffering'' and '' Don't worries Allah controls the future''. The video indeed motivated us to be patience for the assignment and upcoming final exam. in the end, we take a picture together for the last time.
