The Gustav Line or Winter Line was a defensive fortified line prepared in Italy with Hitler's disposal during the Second war.

The line divided the Italain peninsula into two parts: the Tyrrhenian side and the Adriatic side, passing through the Highland of Abruzzo( the region where we live) and the Majella mountains, along the Sangro river.
Its function was to delay the advance of the Allies, thanks to the natural barrier of the mountain.
Many studies have examined this area, inaccessible and less known and many researches have been made to rediscover the traces of war memory present in the territory where we live and thanks to the historical memory of our local community.
Today, we Italian students from Abruzzo, want to remember all the victims of the war so as to never forget but share paths of peace and collaboration.

The little known salvation of Jews in Albania during the Holocaust

In some European countries, the local population handed over Jews in the hands of the Nazis. But there were people who concealed them and sheltered and protected the Jews. The most famous examples are Albanians. The Hebrows in Albania passed well and did not experience the tragic fate of their compatriots. Albanians protected as many Jews as they did in their families. This happened in many cities of Albania such as Tirana, Shkodra, Durrës, Vlora, Kruja, Skopje, Prishtina
