Mathematical reasoning to me is the understanding of math at a deeper level . It is the actual understanding of math concepts.

One way I incorporate mathematical reasoning is by having students complete Mathematical Error Analysis problems in small groups. For example, I will give students a problem that was solve incorrectly. I will have the students explain the mistake made, and then solve it correctly. This expands on their math and writing skills.
