The problem we want to solve is the overuse of plastic, which pollutes the oceans and harms the wildlife. In this project, we decided to take specific actions to reduce single-use plastics. Every Tuesday, our group members will avoid using any disposable plastic items, such as plastic bags, straws, and utensils. We have everyone bring reusable alternatives, like cloth bags, metal straws, and reusable containers. When shopping, we remind ourselves to carry our own reusable bags to avoid plastic bags. Through these actions, we aim to improve the impact of plastic pollution, and encourage eco-friendly habits.
