         <description><![CDATA[<div>i. Anatomy - study of the structures of organisms.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;- Evolution is proven by the homologous structures in organisms that have converged from a common ancestor.&nbsp;<br>ii. Embrology -&nbsp;<br>the study of embrionic organisms&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; - Embroyos of vertebrates are similar in appearance but may grow into different structures. This suggests that certain spieces have evolved from a common ancestor&nbsp;<br>iii. Biochemistry - study of chemical processes in organisms&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; -The more similar the DNA and amino acids sequences in protiens, the more likely they are to have diverged from a common ancestor<br>iv. Paleontology - study of prhistoric life&nbsp;<br>  -Fossils of prehistoric spieces with homologous structures to today's spieces help give evidence of evolution.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>i. Biological Evolution describes all changes of life on Earth.<br>ii. Natural selection drives evolution<br>iii. There are 4 principles relating to Natural Selection:<br>&nbsp; - Overproduction of offspring&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; - Variation<br>&nbsp; - Adaptation<br>&nbsp; - Descent with modification<br>iv. Four Principles of Natural Selection:<br>&nbsp; - Overproduction of offspring is the ability of a population to have many offspring at once which increases the chance of survive for the next generation<br>&nbsp; - Variation is the difference in phenotype of an individual organism and how it affects it's ability to find, obtain, and untilze it's resources and it's ability to reproduce.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; -The process of adaptation is the increased frequency of a particular structure, physiological process, or behavioral in a population that makes it more likely to survive<br>&nbsp; -As an enviornment of a population changes, the entire process of natural selection can yeild new populations with new phenotypes adapted to that enviornment. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>i. Homologous structures - similar in structure but used for different functions. For example, a bat and a whale both have a humerus, however they are used differently.<br>ii. Analogous structures - are different on structure but used for similar functions. An example of this would be a bats wing and a butterflies wing. They are different in structure but are both used to fly.<br>iii. Vestigal structure - a structure that no longer has a funtion or use, see the appendix in humans.</div>]]></description>
