Reason for the War: The Trojan war was caused by Paris the son of the Trojan king, and Helen, the wife of the Greek king Menelaus, left together to the city of Troy. This resulted in Menelaus along with his brother Agamemnon attacking Troy.
Major Parties Involved: Achaean(all Greeks) and the ancient city of Troy.
The Trojan Horse Explained: The Trojan horse was a huge hollow wooden horse built by Greeks and they used it to enter Troy undercover during the Trojan war. The Greeks hid inside of the horse and tricked Troy to take the horse into the city by pretending to withdraw the war. The Greek warriors then came Out from inside during the night to open the gates to let the rest of their army into the city.
Outcome of the War: The Greeks won by using the Trojan horse. After letting the rest of the soldiers into the city, they massacred Troy’s men, and carried off the women.
Great Heroes of the War:
Achilles
Agamemnon
Odysseus
Ajax the Greater
Diomedes
Source of Information (Website URL): https://www.britannica.com/event/Trojan-War
