Have them go around to different tables and show how many gallons go with each quart, pint, ect. Along with doing other measurements like meters to yards, yards to feet, etc. Making sure that they understand what goes with what. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Learning Objective: </strong>Know the vocab of how many units go within each measurement.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Instructional Activity: </strong>They start by talking with a partner about what they already know about lengths (feet, inches, yards), weight (pounds), and volume (cups, liters). Split the class into different groups and they are in a line like they are about to start a race. Have the students run to a station where there will be a conversion problem that they have to solve before they run back to the line, then the next person goes, and so on. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Learning Objective: </strong>Students will use prior knowledge of measurements to solve problems and convert different units. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Instructional Activity:</strong> Divide the class into small groups and place different items at stations throughout the classroom, items being measured will use feet to inches or grams and kilograms. Each group gets a worksheet to convert and measure the things at the station. Then to move to the next station they will have to answer a riddle like "If you have 24 inches of sandwich, how many feet is that?" Then to challenge them they would have to create their own conversion for their classmates to answer. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Learning Objective: </strong>Practice converting like measurements within the same system of measurements. </p>]]></description>
