         <description><![CDATA[<div>Liliana- Troy's perception of family is twisted. He understands his responsibility to take care of all of his kids yet he cheated. He repeatedly states that he doesn't regret cheating too. This shows how complex of a character Troy is. He has a moral obligation to be loyal to his kids but not his wife. This is most likely a result of his own childhood, especially since he wasn't able to witness or experience a healthy family relationship. </div>]]></description>

All you ever did was try and make me scared of you" (2.4.86). <br>Cory spend his life walking on egg shells when it comes to Troy. Through out the play every interaction they have with each other turns into a argument. With Troy making Cory quit football and with Troy cheating on Rose Cory has reach his limit. After months of pretending that Troy didn't exist one argument is all it takes for all of Cory feelings to explode. After years of being held back and afraid Cory is tried. And since Cory realizes Troy has never done anything for him Cory is done being afraid of Troy and letting him control his life. And Mama, too...she tries...but she's scared of you."(2.4.87)<br>Cory has had to deal with his father his whole life and has felt like he hasn't been able to do or say what he wants if his father is around. He has since found the courage to stand up to his father eventually to the point of a physical conflict. Cory also brings up his mother and how she has to sacrifice and hide how she feels to not be hurt from Troy. Cory has gained this courage from the fact that Troy cheated on Rose. Cory is disgusted by his father's actions and looks down on him now and doesn't treat him with respect like he used to.<br><br>Aedan Deckard</div>]]></description>
