Informational text in first grade isn't a priority standard, 3.1.4.4, and this was an area of weakness for our benchmark report in third grade.

We looked at the informational text benchmarks to determine where the gaps are in the proficiency scales. Many of the benchmarks were not proficiency scales before 2nd grade including: 3.1.4.4., (3153 & 3161 only 4th grade priority standard), 3151, etc.

We noticed some of the benchmarks are vague. We are wondering what types of questions the Fastbride test presents and what questions we are using to assess students.

The third grade standard, 3.1.5.5 is not supported by a priority standard in first grade (it was identified as a weakness on our report). When reviewing this standard there are very few provided resources in our current curriculum.

We are concerned about the winter sight word benchmark being 40+ words in 1 minute. Many words have not been introduced yet in UFLI, but FASTBridge tests on them.

There is 1 proficiency scale on sight words. This scale might need to be more specific to help guide students to the higher FASTBridge target scores.
