The similarities and differences between Apes and Humans

Humans have many things in common. Humans have always been fascinated by other apes. Perhaps it is because we are the only animals that are conscious of our place in evolution. The similarities other apes and us share are obvious, and different cultures have been aware of this bond since millennia. And some similarities can be found in anatomy, brain structure, genetics, behavior, etc. Despite these likenesses not apes. Humans are distinct, with many unique characteristics that define them as a separate species.

Within the word Apes, which include gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans, and gibbons, etc... Unsurprisingly one animal which communicates in a very similar way to humans is the chimpanzees (a type of ape). So much so that an area of the brain involved in planning and producing speech, and sign language in humans play a similar role in chimpanzee communication..Chimpanzees have evolved and many facial and body muscles to help them convey messages, for example, erect hair shows agitation or aggression; grinning portrays fear; prolonged staring is threatening behavior; and hanging the lower lip indicates a calm, relaxing mood.

The emotions of humans and animals are observed; one can’t deny the obvious similarities. . The ease encountered in training the apes can be mainly attributed to the fact as humans we share with the ape's many methods of communication. However, it takes some effort for both humans and apes to be able to effectively interpret the meanings behind some behaviors. Chimpanzees see and experience the world much as the human being. Their sense of sight, smell, hearing, and touch are very similar to the human.

The apes may communicate similar feelings as humans however, the method of expressing them may be quite different. Communication by the ability to send information to another, via any given form of medium. . They kiss, hug, pat each other on the back, hold hands and shake their fists. Chimpanzees not only communicate like humans, they also demonstrate a range of emotions including joy, sadness, fear and even empathy.

In my opinion, the apes and humans have many things in common. And the way they are both able to have emotions and express all those emotions the same way it's just remarkable. Truly human and apes are just alike.

Reniel Quintero Cruz

842-18-8519

Prof. Jesús López

Ingl3201

I just read It & I round very explicit.

For there are many similarities between humans and apes. And also like that you clarify that within the word ape, there are different species and there are some that have more similarities with humans than others.

Very good job.

Overall, in my opinion, the essay is very good elaborated as for the facts and main idea. I would advice you to not use contractions if it is a academic/ formal essay. As for the conclusion, the fact about humans and apes caring for their young ones, I think you should move it to one of the body paragraphs.

I think your essay it’s pretty good; however, you shouldn’t use contractions in your essay. Personally, when writing an essay, I don’t like to start a sentence with a coordinating conjunction, I think there are better ways to start it. Also I think, like someone already said, that you should try to specify which ape you’re talking about because it can get a little confusing. Overall you did a great job!
