Some interesting assignments I have completed during these few months were many profile introductions, like a ‘Digital Lab Coat’, and ‘Visual Representation’. These allowed me to learn more about myself and how I learn the best.
Academically, I have written many exams for my final year in elementary school. At my graduation, I even received an award for French Exellence.
I did have some struggles during my years at school. In grade 5, my French grade was barely passing. When I found out about this news, I told myself to work harder and study more. These words made my grade go from 63% to 96% in one term.
I organize myself by setting reminders and making planners to make sure I study fast and effectively. Some important events that took place the past months were the start of my tutoring for my bat mitzvah. This is a journey of my religious culture.
This month, I visited the holocaust museum with my religious school and my parents. During the end of the visit, a huge wall displayed every town or village affected by the holocaust. I was surprised to hear from my dad that my family originated from one of these towns. As my dad explained, my great grandparents were one of the last immigrants to arrive to Canada before they stopped allowing immigrants.

I was also nervous because I hadn’t made any friends and it was a new place I haven't been to before. I was expecting to be very on-task and focused with my school work that year, because I wouldn’t have any friends to distract me from my work.

But now nearing the end of the school year, I’ve made a strong bond with close friends at LCC. I’m more or less focused on work and seem to get it done efficiently enough. The year was pretty unexpected because I thought I wouldn’t make that many friends or get good grades like I have during my first year at LCC, but I’m pleasantly surprised to find I’ve accomplished all of the above.
