For this learning centre activity, you will be exploring the contributions of different early settlers in Singapore from 1819 to 1930s as a group. There are different modes in which you will learn about them:

a) Videos

• scan the QR codes and watch the videos

b) Profile short write up

• read the details on the document

• click on the link from NLB if you want to find out more

c) Photographs / Artefacts with captions and descriptions

• a physical set, including the artefacts are provided to each group (return them to me at the end of the lesson)

• you can refer to these if you need to

You have a total of 40 minutes so please make sure you also have enough time to record down your notes on the graphic organiser. I have included in a glossary for potential unfamiliar terms from the resources. Remember that you can check in with me or change to your 'red' traffic light cards if you need me to assist too. Remember your roles and responsibilities and if you need to refer to them, I have also included them for your reference.
