It all started exactly a week ago in the new york city when journalists suddenly started disappearing, but the only time it popped up was when he went missing the best journalist in the city Richard Castel just a day after his article on the SilverStone mansion published. He was found three days later murdered in the most inhumane way which was practically impossible for a man or woman but the idea of an afterlife entity was mind numbing.

Friday, 5:45 p.m. That was it, I knew. The girl I had been stalking for over a month had finally agreed to go out with me. A month is a long time. I usually don't wait that long, but there was something special about this girl. By the time I had arrived, she was already waiting for me. In a red dress. She was looking beautiful, elegant. I knew I had waited too long. Whatever had to be done, it had to be today. We met. Our eyes met. Even though it was not the first time, I was still nervous. I made sure no one was following us, no one was around. We walked on a path predetermined by me for some time. Then I paused and looked in her eyes. She smiled her beautiful smile, and closed her eyes, waiting to be kissed. But she wouldn't have guessed what was coming to her. No one could have. That day, standing there, she faced the horror of her life. Literally. It was over before she knew it. The dagger cut through her throat like knife through butter. Even though I was cautious, drops of blood made it on my shirt. Drops of her blood. I hated it. Luckily, I had brought spare clothes.
It was another week until her body would be found, I made sure of that. Till then, I had already found my next victim.

- Tejas Bobe
Prompt: Blood

Today when Simon arrived in the office he directly turned his path towards the locker room which was an unusual thing for those who are working with him for years in this metro department. When usually he comes to the office, prefers to meet his colleagues and takes the report about the metro status from junior officers. Today he was looking in a great hurry and his mind was not at all concentrated on his work. His colleagues were so amazed looking him in such tension, but they got shocked when the police officer came to the office and arrested Simon. They opened his locker and took a few bottles along with them. On the next day, there was a bold lettered headline in the newspaper “The Celestial” that “cops arrested metro officer for smuggling of life-fluid in space station module SS 013”.

-Sanket Kale

It was the winter of 1887. It was the typical weather which one would have to live through the months of December in the Victorian era. It was misty outside with very low visibility. One could see fog for many kilometers. The temperatures were freezing, forcing people to stay in their homes and wear many layers of clothes. This was also a time when a serial killer was also operating on the streets of London. The inspectors at Scotland Yard were unsuccessful in arresting him. Only one thing was known about him- his modus operandi was quite similar as that of Jack The Ripper.

In the midst of this fear, young Miss Elizabeth ,aged 25 ,was walking back to her home after meeting her friends. It was pitched dark. Only the street lights were lit which helped the people to see the roads. As this was the peak of the winter season, no one was on the pathway. One could hear the sound of Miss Elizabeth's heals-Tak Tak Tak on the road. As she was humming a song she noticed someone's shadow following her in the deserted road in the heart of London. She initially did not notice the man, but became alarmed when she heard him calling her name. She did want to turn around and see the gentleman's face but when she saw he was holding a pointy object, her face turned white with fear thinking it to be a knife. Believing that the man behind her was the Serial Killer, she made a run for her life. The man constantly shouted her name trying to stop her but of no use. She tried to scream and call for help, but her cries were not answered. She had reached a dead end of an alley where nobody could hear her cries for help. As she prayed to God to help in her final moments, the man once again called out her name. As she opened her eyes slowly to see the man who would kill her, she was surprised to see who the man was. "Gigitty", said the name in his characteristic voice. A smile was the on Elizabeth's face as she recognised Mr.Quagmire, her cobbler. Mr.Quagmired explained to her that he wanted to return her shoe which she had given him for repair 2 days ago. Mr Quagmire advised here not one roam on the streets alone in the night. They both then parted their ways and Miss Elizabeth breathed a sigh of relief as she reached home. But one could see a slight smirk on Mr.Quagmire as he walked away.

-Vitthal Kaul

Prompt:Shoe

It came out of nowhere. A thing, tall as nothing I've ever seen before, pushed me so hard, I went right under the ground. I know there's no way out now. I am stuck here forever. Atleast I can still peep out and see all that goes on above the ground. All I could hear for a minute was shouting. Looking out I saw two enormous creatures dancing and congratulating each other for god knows what. I heard one of them speaking: "We've just planted the flag and it's probably the proudest moment in the history of America". I wondered if that's what might have pushed me inside. The other guy spoke "So how does it feel Neil, to be the first man to step on moon?" Now I ain't never heard this kind of words before, but I've learned to use my little brain. Maybe the guy's name was Neil, and moon is what they called the place where I live. "Unless there's some life here, said neil, "I might as well be the first living being to step here!" "We'll know that soon enough Neil, it’s just the beginning" said the other guy. Oh and yes, ofcourse it was just the beginning. After a decade or two, men kept popping up and invading my planet like it was their own. And very soon, my home really did become theirs. I was the only life left on moon after the great extinction 50 centuries ago. I learnt humans call creatures like me 'Micro-organisms'. Their proud flag stood right above me ever after. Around us became a museum. The quest for the search of life continued. I saw them search every place on the moon. Only me and the flag knew, Not every place.
- Nishant Kadam

Prompt: Moon
