I meant for the cold and warm colors to look like they were rushing into the shapes, as if they were opposing forces, each originating from their own origin points at the corners. If I could do it again, I would try to show an earlier stage of the "battle", with collisions between the colors and conflicts for one shape. I captured part of a cabinet, a couple classroom doors, some paintings, some I-beams, a couple of hallway doors, and a board. I mainly used line, form, and space - line because the sketch is composed entirely of lines, form by representing the forms of objects in the hallway (as well as the hallway itself), and space to represent distance between these objects. Throughout the process, I took the photo, sketched it in Google Drawings, and then put it on paper. When transferring to paper, I had tried to maintain a consistent scale, but had a bunch of issues related to this, especially when drawing the column on the left of the sketch. I also wasn’t able to capture everything, like the other paintings and columns, and some textures.
