This prohibited any of the colonists from settling past the Appalachian Mountains. This angered the colonists because they were not able to expand westward. This act was imposed on any sort of paper. It was common for the colonists to vandalize British shops and so one day a group of colonists were attacking some British and this laid the ground fro the Boston Massacre. The massacre started when British troops shot some colonists while they were being harassed.
