For me, being a manager is not about just getting positive results for a company or employer. Being a manager means that you have a powerful position where your decisions will not only impact you but also other people within you team.

I personally like to learn more about management as right now I am taking a manager position and would like to improve on my job not technically speaking but from a managerial perspective

The job of manager has changed significantly following the COVID 19 pandemic.

Right now it is necessary to adapt and understand the new routines that everyone within the team has, it is important to know and see that this has become more dynamic where people have a new life that doesn't depend on working full time in the office. One of the few positive things that the pandemic brought was the lesson that people can proactively work from home.

Having said that, managers must understand and know their teams in order to have good relationships and thus good outputs
