A picture of a woman saying "We Can Do It!" helped express Beneatha and the quote of her going to be a doctor. The picture of the short natural hair helped expressed of how important her natural hair means to her. The quote along with it was her questioning herself about her natural hair and her identity. The picture of curiosity helped showed how curious Beneatha is. She questions a lot of things, like religion, and also questions people, like the quote I put of her questioning George. The picture of the red guy standing out helped expressed how independent Beneatha was and the quote also showed how she was not worried about finding a man. Finally, the picture of the African woman helped express Beneatha trying to find her identity as an African woman and the quote of her asking someone from Africa about finding her identity also showed her struggle of who she is. The picture of the strong independent woman created a deeper meaning of how Beneatha wants to be a strong black woman who can prove everyone that laughed at her that she can be a doctor and doesn't need to be a nurse just because she's a woman. This picture of the curiosity and the independent person gave a deeper meaning to Beneatha of how she questions life and religion, but also showed how she does things on her own and doesn't want to rely on other people. Finally, the pictures that gave the deepest meaning to Beneatha were the two pictures of the black woman. Both gave a deep meaning of trying to find one's self.
