The Native Americans inhabiting the Northeastern portion of the U.S. were hunter-gatherers, fishers, and farmers.
The Natives hunted small to medium game like rabbits and deer. In addition to this, they gathered a variety of plants, seeds, and berries in the region. There was also a good amount of farming in the region as corn and squash were often grown, but not as extensive as in other regions.
Tribes like the Mohawk, Iroquois, and Ottawa etc.. structured their way of life around these things.

This caused them to lead very nomadic lives as they followed the buffalo while also hunting antelope and rabbits and collecting what plants and berries there were.
The Blackfoot, Wichita, and Omaha are tribes that were able to flourish in this region.
