The thing that make a written or visual project powerful is the way they use sensory to capture the audience. Evoking emotions creates a sense of feeling in the targeted reader or watcher that makes them want to engage. Creating work that describes tastes, smells, sounds, and texture also makes a piece power because it allows the audience to feel the mood that is being set. An advertisement that grabs my attention is the texting and driving commercials. The one that stands out to me the most starts off with a group of young adults being interviewed and surveyed about their phone use while driving. They were asked, “What are your reasons for using a phone while driving?”  One participant responded, “If I get a text ill look at my phone.”  “Instagram, Facebook, twitter.” Another participant mentioned. Introduced with a person that was in a traumatic, life changing accident, the participants and drowned with emotions. As a viewer, I felt the emotion rush through me. The message was clear enough to make any viewer think about what decisions they make.  

 

2. frere-jones's has support from the billboard singles charts and you tube. Wierd Al's number of singles sold and amount of views on youtube are reliable evidence to back up the analysis

3. frere-jones defines "kid stuff" has fun and harmless. Weird al" music is created in a way where he doesn't disrespect the original songs that he remixes. he changes them with soft and goofy lyrics.
