         <description><![CDATA[<div>The California Dyslexia Guidelines are provided for you in this Padlet.&nbsp; Refer to Chapter 7 (pages 33-37), which discusses the impact of dyslexia on ELs. &nbsp;<br><br>Cardenas-Hagan (2011) makes specific recommendations to assist ELs in their quest toward literacy.&nbsp; What are those recommendations? &nbsp;<br>Provide a brief reflection, including a specific example in a written format(300 word, double-spaced) or a video recording (3-5 minutes) of:&nbsp;</div><ul><li>&nbsp;how you could adopt one of these recommendations into your current teaching environment (classroom staff only)</li><li>what policy or school-wide practice could be adopted to address the needs of ELs demonstrating dyslexia related difficulties (administrators only)</li><li><strong>Submit your work to your Module 1 facilitator, Dr. Quezada, at: karina.quezada@cahelp.org.&nbsp; </strong><mark>Please send it as a PDF document to avoid technical difficulties.&nbsp; </mark></li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
