For me, Europe is a place that brings together many different cultures, languages and traditions. Europe is inhabited by people with a great deal of diversity who live together peacefully. 

I also think, however, that the only reason Europe was born is an economic reason. It is very difficult that nowadays someone does something without being interested in money.

In my ideal Europe adults believe in young people and they give them the possibility to create a future also abroad. I would like Europe to promote meetings between young people from different European countries. This would allow  knowledge of new cultures and greater tolerance towards diversity. This meeting would be useful to mitigate discrimination in a long time

In my opinion an ideal Europe should provide all the services for people’s health. It should facilitate the life of the people who aren’t born with the same opportunities as others. It should make us, citizens, feel safe.

Since Europe is a set of states it should motivate all of us to cooperate to build a strong economy and society.

Furthermore it should guarantee a good education system. An education system that we all can afford so people wouldn’t be illiterate and there would be way less war and injustices.

In the end the Europe that I would like is a right, strong and open minded continent.

Right now I consider Europe as a potential economic and political power but too fragmented and culturally divided. I also think that European leaders look at Europe as a State to be governate and not to a group of States with their own reality. 

I would like to live in a more united Europe but that respects the differences and the independence of the member States. A Europe that doesn’t act against the laws of the single State. A Europe that assures the interests of all and not only of the strongest and most influential countries

Only a minority of young people do not feel at all or only a little they are European citizens. A lot of them have a feeling they belong to a union.

The European Union has promoted integration between different cultures, languages and politics and progressively it has achieved it.

In my ideal Europe there aren’t differences between two people that do not have the same traditions, ideas or culture. As Europeans we can enjoy peace and freedom. What I’d like now is that all the European States have  better and better relationships.

I honestly don’t have a clear idea of what it is or what Europe could mean for me.

However, I can say that Europe for me represents a union of countries that guarantee peace, undertake exchanges between them and promise to help each other by forming alliances. Starting from this idea, my ideals about Europe are: equality, as people who belong to it are all part of the same union where there are generally the same principles; peace, since the countries joined togheter to maintain relationships of tolerance; finally solidarity is also a capital value: the care to rescue or to help other struggling union members.

Opportunities for study, education and work.

I would like continuous cultural exchanges between all the schools of Europe to know and get in touch every day with different cultures and new people coming from other countries, a few hours a week dedicated to lessons together with another class from another school of another country via webcam and others devoted to the study of a foreign culture...

A Europe that follows much more the ideas of young people and that provvides the material and economic help to realize the most valuable and innovation projects of its young people.

A Europe that always opens new and more doors to the young of today and that looks to the future with optimism and no longer with a past attitude.

Nowdays there aren’t wars and main conflicts between the European States. Infact the European Union work to find a ballance between the various states that form the UE. Nowadays Europe has been living hard times. A lot of States have been experiencing a period of crisis and people do not have a common ideal for a better future. In the Europe that I would like to have all the perple are kind to everybody else. There is no discrimination and injustice but everybody respects the citizens of all the countries. I think Europe can be a better place if every citizen takes the challenge and start to work hard to transform our homeland in a better place.

 

If we want world peace, peace within and outside the European borders, we need more than ever an ideal Europe able to fight against warfare, hatred, intolerance, exclusion and oppression. Peace is the most important value.  Thanks to peace all the countries of Europe have been able to improve  export from Europe to other continents, for example to China and the USA.

To keep a balance among European countries though, it is important for me to decrease the power of Germany and  France and to strengthen theEuropean central government instead.

In my opinion the EU isn’t only a geographic place.

It’s a big community with “small” states that cooperate to create a supportive and innovative environment for everyone.

I think that the motto of the European Union: ”united in diversity” expresses a strong meaning, but it is limited by facts.

In my ideal EU the differences are not overcome only by words but also with actions.

In my ideal EU who needs help can have it, and not only within the Union, but the Union should also help other people.

In my ideal EU everyone can have a good education, studying to improve one selves and the others.

In my ideal EU everyone can have a second chance.

I think now Europe is far from this ideal Europe, but in my opinion with a few laws this beautiful land can improve and be more hospitable.

I want a united currency, army and common law like in the USA.

I hope the European people reconsider the idea of the European systems.

I want a more united population and less conflict between states, a lot of people don’t like the European institution because it imposes some rules over our government, I think if every state gives some more power to the European Parliament it will be better for us all.

I think we can have a united army to reduce costs and increase defense and it will be necessary also to have a united law system. This way we will be able to lower the level of corruption.

A shared market system can improve the economy as well.

In my ideal Europe the states that are part should try to help each other.

Infact I think that should be more availability towards a state in difficulty; and don't facilitating only the major powers.

Futhermore, in my opinion European Parlament and its members should be reducted for taking decision more easily.

At the end I think that every states should have more freedom of execution for that it can exercise his sovereignty with more autonomy.

The European Union is a group of 28 countries that cooperate economically and politically. It was founded in 1993 in Maastricht. Nineteen countries use the euro as their official currency.

It has its own rules that must be respected, otherwise the country that doesn’t will have to leave. I hope that this system will improve to help the young people to express them self more and push them towards new possibilities and studies. I think that this should be improved because right now not many countries help the students to reach their objectives probably not considering how much the youth could help the economical situation with innovative ideas.

At the beginning the European Union was formed only by six states (IT-D-F- BE-NELUX),

these countries started to cooperate in 1951.

Overtime other countries have decided to participate and nowadays there are twenty-seven altogether.

The EU is characterized by five symbols that are the flag, the motto, the hymn, the euro (the same banknotes) and the European day.

The motto is “United in diversity”, it is the idea that our EU needed and needs the most and I am happy to live in a time where to be different it is not a crime but a value.

I think that EU is a great ideal but with a terrible law, so my ideal Europe should

guarantee a good education system with an economic and political stability for all the

population. Everyone should have right and responsibility to contribute in the society.

Anyway I am very happy to be part of Europe

My ideal Europe would probably be one that most young people (for example students like me) dream about, this means giving us more value because as most adults say “we are the future”. I’d like more possibilities and an open mind set to let us grow and build our future, hopefully a better one; changes from an economic perspective are necessary for us , by saying this I mean:

- University should be free (this prevents a lot of smart, talented and unique people to one day become someone, although scholarships exist they are really hard to get and this means that not everyone who deserves it will eventually get one)

- more job opportunities (statistics say that the youth unemployment in Europe is gradually decreasing which is good news but it’s still pretty high, approximately 18,7%, in my opinion this is also because employers demand a lot of experience at a very young age which is ridiculous considering that most young people have just finished high school or university and can’t have all the capabilities requested to do most jobs). 

If we start making the right changes and take smarter decisions Europe could become a much better place to live in.
