These are the most valuable major scholarships in Canada.          <title>Major Entrance Scholarships to Queen&#39;s University (and that DO NOT require a nomination)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><mark>DEADLINE TO APPLY: Submit your application to Queen's on the OUAC by November 20, 2024 and then submit the single Major Admission Award (MAA) application by December 8, 2024.</mark></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Students who demonstrate superior academic ability, creative and original thinking, involvement in school or community activities, and proven leadership qualities can apply for a Queen’s major admission award. Financial need is also a consideration for some of the major admission awards.</p><p><br/></p><p>You may apply for all of the awards for which you are eligible by submitting a single Major Admission Award (MAA) application. The deadline to submit your application is December 8, 2024.          <description><![CDATA[<p><strong><mark>INTENTION TO APPLY DEADLINE: Oct. 21, 2024</mark></strong></p><p><br/></p><p>The TD Scholarship for Community Leadership is one of the country's most prestigious scholarships, valued at up to $70,000 over four years at university. The scholarship is intended for students who have demonstrated significant EXTERNAL &amp; School COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP during their high school years, while also maintaining a good academic standing.&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>Only those students who are Canadian citizens or who have permanent residency are eligible for this.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>The key criterion is “OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP”. These scholarships are awarded to students across Canada who have demonstrated consistent and outstanding dedication to solving a community problem or making their community a better place.&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p></li></ul><p><strong><mark>Please look over the information online and let your guidance counsellor know of your intention to apply no later than Monday October 21 2024, so that they can  support you with this application.&nbsp;</mark></strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>You need THREE LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION TO SUPPORT YOUR APPLICATION: one letter from the school AND  two letters of support from community groups (at least one should be related to community involvement that is external to LCS).          <description><![CDATA[<p>UBC’s International Scholars have the potential to make a difference in the world. They are high academic achievers who have demonstrated exceptional extracurricular activities, show a desire to create change at the local and global level, and they are dedicated to giving back to their communities.</p><p><br/></p><p>Financial need is a strong consideration, so you must demonstrate a level of financial need that would otherwise prevent you from pursuing a UBC degree. </p><p><br/></p><p><em>LCS can select two students to nominate for the UBC Vancouver campus and one student for the UBC Okanagan campus.
