To talk about a thinf we use something in the affirmative and anything in negative questions
For a place, we use somewhere in the affirmative and anywhere in negatives quetions
For a person, we use somebody/someone in the affirmative and anyone/anybody in negatives and questions
For all things, places, and people we use everything everyone and everybody/everyone
Nothing, nowhere, and nobody no one have a negative meaning, but we use a singular affirmative verb after these words

example:

Passive voice is the opposite to Active voice.

Active voice is the normal way we have learned tenses. Like: I read the newspaper everyday // They ate the whole pizza at the party

Passive voice gives more attention and importance to the OBJECTS: The newspaper is read everyday // The whole pizza was eaten at the party.
