The outside part of the guns is made with hard plastic that is made from petroil, a foamy substance thats sorounds the nerf bullet and a hard but foamy plastic at the tip, rubbery casting in a bullet that has a ball shape.

Nerf bullet - The tip is made with thermoplastic rubber and the foam is made with polyurethane foam.

During the production of Styrene and Butadiene, many chemicals like benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, other alkylbenzene compounds and ethylene, most of them are very harmful for the environment and your body, attacking your respiratory system and can cause cancer.

In conclusion the Nerf company is highly problematic to the environment and overall humans as the process of making the Nerf guns can cause multiple harms to society and environment, because most of its components are made from petroleum, which during its production and when it's used to create other materials, it releases many different harmful chemicals. Petroleum is not only the main material of the Nerf guns, as you could see there other harmful materials than Petroleum, in which some of the materials can cause more harm than others materials.
