The women were furious and angry. They wanted to be called persons, they wanted to vote and they wanted the right to keep a child and they wanted to have rights and men have. Before the women movement they were only housewives and men controlled every part of the women's life. (Which the women did not enjoy, but they had to follow the law) The men were allowed to do whatever they wanted. they could go to work in offices and other places women were banned from.

This showed how hard the women had to fight to the right of being called a persons. The women fought long and hard until the battle was over. The final notice the women needed was from a sacrifice from Emily Davison. When she jumped in front of a horse to get the attention of the king and to put her message over the television. But unfortunately she died from the impact of the house hitting her.

It would be the same as in work and I would still be able to go to school, but however back then I would not get a chance to get the jobs that I would've wanted. I wouldn't have the rights to rebel or do anything reckless because I'm a girl. I guess another similarity is that would still be able to clean and stay in the house for as long as i want. But if i was born in this decade, I wouldn't get the same rights as men. ( That doesn't sound very pleasant)

Here are some things I would like you to know about this decade

There are Numerous things that I would like others to know about Canada in the 1920's to the 1930's decade. In the 1920's and early 30's banded the use and sell of liquor because it was a bad influence, the name of this law is "Prohibition". This decade also saw the role of women changing with them taking men's jobs and gaining confidence and getting the right to vote. The prime minister at the time was William Lyon Mackenzie King. His government created the old age pensions in 1926. In the late 20's the stock market crashed because people were buying too much on credit. The new Prime Minister R.B. Bennett he tried to solve the economic problems during the great Depression. These are a few highlights of the decade of the 1920's to the 1930's.
