It was already hard enough on me that I had two practices right before this. But my mom insisted that I come to this family gathering from her side. As if I wasn't tired enough, I had to complete a full list of chores, front and back side, before we went. My legs were cramping and sore from all those suicides I had to run, I could barely walk correctly. All that was running through my mind at this point was that there were only four hours left of the day. Once this dumb reunion was over I could crash into bed and sleep in, because tomorrow would be Saturday. As we arrive at this big, fancy house, my parents tell me to be on my best behavior. We walk to the front steps only to be invited through the front doors by a plump, jolly lady. Later, I figured out she was my mom's Aunt Bettie. I didn't know very many people there except for my cousin Jayda and her family. Everything was decent, in fact okay if you will. But just by the ring of that doorbell, I knew it was going to be an even tougher night than I thought. The figure that walked through the door, into the living room, and up to me, was my despicable arch rival from school; Rose McClain. First and foremost, we used Veronica, the narrator, by describing the before and after events of the video. Veronica said “his worst nightmare”, which you may imply that he doesn’t like whoever he’s looking at. Another reason Veronica helped with showing the emotion is telling the reader that he ran away. By running you can assume that Julio doesn’t like whoever he’s looking at again because he didn’t walk or jog away from the person. Finally, we used Julio’s expression as well to make the reader feel like he is frightened or scared from whoever he’s looking at.

Her uncle, who has always been a little edgy and strange is looking back at her. This makes the girl anxious and tense causing her whole body to shake.
“I can’t believe you're here,” The girl says with quivering lips.

When her friends heard about this, one of her friends, Bailey, asked Alisa to come over, she asked her mom, she said yes and Alisa went to her friend’s house. While Alisa was at Bailey’s house, her mom called the other friends to help plan a surprise party at her house . While Alisa was at her friend’s house they talked about how her mom said there was not going to be a party and how upset she was at that. As Alisa was being distracted her mom and friends were unpacking party supplies and hanging up decorations. The house was filled with balloons, a table filled with food and cake, presents, and games. Alisa and her friend walked through the park, and tried to calm Alisa down. As Alisa and her friend walked around the neighborhood, they passed by her house again and Alisa saw something frantic happening inside. Alisa’s friend was trying to block Alisa’s view and keep distracting her until her mom was finished. Alisa and her friend walked back to her friend’s house and sat on her bed asking about what was going on in her house. As Alisa was explaining to Bailey what she was seeing, Bailey checked her phone and saw that Alisa’s mom said 5 min left. Back at Alisa’s house the last decorations were going down, everything was prepped and ready to go. Bailey and Alisa walked back to the house when they entered everything was pitch black, then the lights came on and everyone said surprise! Alisa shouted in surprise at them and was thrilled at all the decorations and screamed to her friends “I can’t believe you're here!”
