         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>shah - is the appointed monarch of Iran</p><p>coup - Rebellion in attempts to overthrow the government</p><p>exile - The banishment of a person from their native country.</p><p>fundamentalism - A religion hat upholds strict beliefs in the literal interpretation of religion scripture</p><p>ayatollah - An ayatollah is a shiite religous leader in iran</p></li><li><p>Reza Shah came to power in 1953, The US and British ended up causing a coup to overthrow him.</p></li><li><p>The Shah lead an autocratic government </p></li><li><p>The Shah lost power in 1979 during the Iranian revolution, driven by the widespread protest against his rule. Islamic fundamentalists were a major key in rallying  against the shah and wanted Islamic government. </p></li><li><p>After the Shah fled, Ayatollah returned and became leader and also ruled an  Islamic Republic. In November 1979, they took U.S hostages in response to the U.s allowing the Shah to enter for medical treatment making tension high.  </p></li></ol><p><br/></p>]]></description>
