In the fall of 2026 we are taking part in a small pilot of 25 teachers with plans to extend and expand the project across schools and districts. The BCRIM Project received a seed grant from Wild Wonder Foundation to begin a nature journalling club through a mathematics lens.

We will be meeting in-person and on Zoom once a month and learning and sharing with each other.

note: I tried to follow the Wild Wonder Foundation frameworks of using pictures, numbers, words and also including notice, wonder, connect (what they call "it reminds me of") in each of these pages as well as using a mathematics lens looking at quantity, shape, size, pattern, symmetry, data, etc.

I also tried to explore different ways of capturing what I was observing and thinking about, using different materials, tools, and techniques.
