Her use of bold colors and geometric folding shapes push and pull space in both 2d and 3d - her work explores color theory and abstraction.
https://design-milk.com/gemma-smith/?epik=dj0yJnU9QjBvcVBaSXhwclJnRmJCTDF2dTJWbEhDdVg0VURkV2omcD0wJm49NFpvWVRxdjh2RXVycFBHQVpMTlQ0dyZ0PUFBQUFBR09XUG5F#more-84477
Ms. Montgomery

The artist who made this piece is Sayed Haider Raza. The center of the art piece is a bunch of congruent circles that slowly get bigger. The center is framed by more patterns of triangles, circles, squares, and more. Sayed Haider Raza mainly centers his paintings on landscapes, and throughout his career, he has transitioned to more abstract representations of these. He also likes to center his pieces around the Bindu dot which he believes is the center of existence and creation.

Ding Yi created a system for constructing nonrepresentational works using solely the motif of a rudimentary cross—depicted alternately as x and +—which he developed into an ongoing series he named “Appearance of Crosses.” This piece of geometric abstraction is one of his many Appearance of Crosses. On his paper and wood supports, Ding first sketches out underlying designs. Then, using unmixed paints straight from the tube, he builds up accumulations of crosses to materialize these compositions. A rigorous set of guidelines governs the series, which aims to disassociate the final paintings from representation, meaning, and emotion.

Trinity and Wes

He uses many different shapes in his artwork but tends to use contrasting sharp triangles and round arches. He also likes to use contrasting colors, such as in the example piece where he uses orange and blue. The cultural symbolism of the piece is representation of Mexican architecture and cities.

The contemporary art of Jorge Vidals

The parang motif, a significant element within these designs, was once exclusive to the royal courts of Surakarta and Jogyakarta. Over time, as the sultans' rule diminished, the parang motif became accessible to the general public and is now widely worn.
