Many families are poor, so they will have no money to let their child learn anything, so the poor family's kid will not have the same amount of chance to learn compare to the rich family's kid.

Rural vs Urban

The child that lives in rural areas will be different than the child that lives in urban areas because in rural areas there won’t be learning materials children can use, but in urban areas, there are most of the things that children want, so there is probably more learning opportunities in rural areas.

Culture Factors

In every country, there are parents that don’t prioritize their child's formal education at first so their child gets less chance of learning.

Gender Cause

Many traditional thinking thinks that boys are better than girls, so they limit the potential of girls and don't let them learn.

Disability Component

In some country, people that have disability don't get extra help, including child, so the child that has disability will find it harder to learn things than normal children can.

1. Ancient China: Way back in ancient times, only wealthy families could afford to send their children to school. So, not everyone got to learn how to read and write.

2. The Imperial Exam System: From the 7th to the 19th century, China had a special exam system for selecting officials. Only boys from rich families had the chance to study for these exams. This meant many poor children didn't get to go to school at all!

3. The 20th Century: Things started to change in the 20th century. More schools were built, and the government made education available to more people. But still, kids in rural areas had fewer schools and resources compared to those in cities.

4. 1978: In this year, China launched the "Open Door" policy, which aimed to modernize the country. One important part of this was improving education for everyone, no matter where they lived.

5. 1990s: By this time, China had made big progress in education. Nearly all kids were enrolled in primary school. But, there were still gaps between urban and rural areas. Kids in cities had better schools and teachers.

6. 2000s: China made even more improvements. The government focused on building schools in rural areas and helping poor families pay for education. This helped reduce the gap between urban and rural education.

7. Today: Education in China has come a long way. Almost every child goes to school, and many go on to study at universities. But, there are still challenges. Some rural areas still lack good schools and teachers.
